    One of the 8 way opterons ? Yeah it'll be lower power. Figure 5 watts per stick of ram. 8 watts per hd. 35 watts+ avg load on CPU. Board will take 10. You can tweak that down. If it's under heavy load though it'll be higher to the tdp for the chip

    I think the concern on PC drives was the load/unload. I bought a bunch of greens way back and misused them in devices like this. They hit pre fail very quickly. Allegedly there were firmware hacks to change the color of the drive but I never ventured there.
