Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

Just installed and tested .5.9.9.42 with some of the cameras that had the issue, and now everything works fine after a reboot. ONVIF reconnects and no warnings.

Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

Latest info, after checking with Blue Iris support, email from Ken If this works as expected, it will help a lot in ensuring cameras relying on ONVIF for triggering are always properly active

Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

Quick update - while I wait for BI Support to let me know if they have any solution for this, I have found a workaround and I tested it successfully. This assumes use of MQTT and some system to issue an HTTP request. In my case: 1. Blue Iris sends a MQTT message on Signal Loss and Signal...

Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

After a lot more looking into it, and reading on a few other sites/forums, I had a look at time stamps: Here is when the camera is working fine (or if it has been reset in BI after a reboot fails to work properly with ONVIF, and then works fine): And here is after a reboot when ONVIF is not...

Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

And last update so far - I have tested on 5.9.9.19 and 5.9.9.36 and the issue is still there, both on a 5442 and a 2431 camera, regardless of if ONVIF authentication is on or off... in summary, reboot is working fine, but ONVIF is not after the reboot and only recovers after asking BI to...

Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

Update: So I have made a few adjustments, I think the loop may have been caused by the 30 seconds being too low and the reboot after 3 attempts, since these cameras take a while to reboot. Having changed it to this, as shown below (45 seconds and 5 attempts) it no longer loops and reboots OK...

Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

Hi Tony, For both signal loss and restore, the only thing I configured is for BI to send a MQTT message with a simple JSON payload, that I consume in my HomeSeer system and then send to InfluxDB, as I am building a Grafana dashboard with a state timeline for each camera. The purpose is to...

Strange issue recently - Dahua cameras rebooted via BI are in a loop...

On occasion, the odd camera will go into No Signal, and I have always first tried to reset the camera or reboot it via BI. If that doesn't work, then I go to the camera GUI or power cycle it, etc. I have recently observed something new, and a bit odd... it seems to be happening for Dahua...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

As promised, update. Installed the PA120SE V3 (was fun to learn the LGA1150 socket requires a plate underneath the motherboard, so it was a complete teardown...) - and things are very tight even in a 4U case, but with all installed and cables inside as neat as possible to not interfere with...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

I concur! I am very careful with things like this. When replacing the processor I cleaned both the heatsink and the CPU with isopropyl alcohol and made sure to get no oil/fingerprints/dust etc on any surface and applied what I considered to be a decent enough amount of thermal paste... but...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

Thanks! Yes, precisely that is the one I was looking at for a new build I hope in the next few months with a 14th gen CPU, and it was widely recommended for a 4U case OK, I had no idea the temps were that high... I will turn it off before I cook this one too, and go get a better cooler...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

Oh, well, to be honest, I hadn't thought of that as the CPU fan is always running relatively slow, so I assumed it wasn't heating enough to require more cooling... CPU is usually running in the low 20% or less, only spikes a bit when raining or windy obviously... and I have never overclocked it...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

Just in case anyone comes across a similar problem, the final solution for me was to source a second hand replacement i7-4790K CPU and now all works fine (or so it seems for the moment). Baffles me as to why a failing CPU would produce kernel errors clearly identified as being caused by the...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

So, clearly going forward with the Nvidia drivers was not a good idea... had Windows check for updates, and it updated Nvidia to 560.94... resulting in LiveKernelEvent 193 instead of 141 ... just about 1-2' after starting BlueIris. As long as BlueIris is not running (i.e. CP AI is sitting idle)...

Trying to fix intermittent fault - question about nvidia drivers...

I am experiencing a frequent issue where the BI server completely freezes. I have narrowed it down to a problem with the video card. This is windows 10 system and these issues (LiveKernelEvent 141) started happening after Windows decided to update some components despite my configuration to not...

    About models in use

I can confirm that having specified the model(s) I want to use also in the static object analysis window (which I had missed before) removes the entries related to the other models in the CP AI log. So now, CP AI is using only the model(s) I expected. It was a mistake on my part, not having...

Your screen capture looks very different to mine, what version of BI is this? I see you have default object detection checked, I don't... I haven't tried using that yet

    About models in use

OK, I hate it when I miss the obvious... :lmao: The custom model field in the static object analysis window was staring me right in the face and it was blank... I had filled it in the previous dialog for Alert Confirmation but not in the Static Object Analysis one... I will try and change it...

    Upgrade goes to error?

Note that the update function on CPAI 2.6.5 will fail. I had to go to the other URL, the one I posted, where I downloaded 2.8.0 and then installed that. About your system, I am not familiar with Mint. Mine is running a very barebones Windows 10 with nothing else except BI and CPAI, a few...

    Upgrade goes to error?

Found myself in the same spot a few days ago... had a look around on the forum and discovered updates can be found here now... https://codeproject.github.io/ I went 2.6.5 -> 2.8.0 and today to 2.9.4 I don't know if I was very lucky, but all went very smooth PS - as to CPU usage, it depends...

    About models in use

Not sure if this has been discussed already, search didn't find anything. Running BI 5.9.9.9 and CP AI 2.9.4 & YOLOv5 6.2 BI is configured as shown: I have never been able to change this list. Now on at a camera level, it is set like this - as far as I understand this should indicate to...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.9.0

Just in case it is of use. Updated from 2.6.5 to 2.8.0 and subsequently to 2.9.4, always simply ran the installer and chose the option to remove previous. Installer takes its time, but no errors and all is working fine

About shield & camera pause vs triggers...

@wittaj as always thanks for your fast response! I'm still not a 100% sure though... 1. A logged trigger shows as a bolt, and in the case of the red shield it shows as an "i"... 2. In any case, if the trigger is recorded, and I set up immediate pre-alert actions then those should happen even...

About shield & camera pause vs triggers...

I’m starting to suspect there is yet one more thing I don’t quite understand about how Blue Iris works… According to the help file: In my case, I configured it this way: So, in theory, triggers should be active even when the shield is not GREEN. I picked a camera and configured it to be...

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

Well, I have another 4 Dahuas of the same model, and 3 Hikvision. All are configured the same in terms of network, encoding, etc. All the Ubiquiti links are configured the same too... The throughput on all the links is way below the maximum capacity... I think something is going on with what the...

Unstable FPS depending on what cameras active

So, all cameras are running H264 to make things easier on the processor. No cameras have ROI enabled. The particular Dahua camera has Smart Plan enabled and one intrusion zone. I tried disabling to see if that had an effect, but it doesn't. I have also done a few more changes: On the cheap...
