[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

That is definitely an issue with .Net. I’d uninstall all versions of .Net, reboot and then run AI Tool and install .Net when prompted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anytime, I’m happy to help. Hopefully we can get this squared away. That is very odd that AI Tool won’t run. I honestly haven’t had any issues getting AI Tool running. Are the machines that you tested AI Tool on fresh installs of Windows 10? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You will also need to install .Net Framework, but you should be promoted for this when you first run AI Tool, if .Net Framework isn’t installed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Duplicate cameras are only needed if you don't want to have your BI alert view to be cluttered with false alerts that didn't get triggered. Having duplicate cameras keeps the alert view much cleaner.

There currently is no way to train Deepstack. @GentlePumpkin mentioned a while back that Deepstack will soon be moving to open source, which should allow training Deepstack. For the false alert seeing the IR as a person, you may want to try increasing the confidence levels up a bit. You’d need...

Doorbell camera with easiest user interface for the elderly?

I have two Nest Hello doorbells and, while no one who is elderly uses them, the user interface is simple and easy to understand, in my opinion. I’m not sure if you’re looking for something cloud based, but if you’re not opposed to cloud based Nest is the best hands down. I had Ring previously...

I was able to get Deepstack to run on a separate Windows machine. The catch here is that you need to have Visual C++ installed on the Windows box that is running Deepstack, see post #338 in this thread. Also, to run Deepstack on Windows, your processor needs to support AVX. If your processor...

Aside from having AI to detect and not alert on familiar faces, I’m not sure how else you’d achieve what you’re wanting to do. You want to receive alerts when you’re home but not when you walk outside and you want to automate this somehow. Even IF there was AI to detect familiar faces and not...

I set this inside BI under the settings-->Profiles tab under temp time. I then manually change to this profile in BI and it changes back to whatever profile should be set after the defined time expires or I can switch the profile back manually.

I have a profile defined in BI that I changed the fire to never under the alerts tab for each camera for this profile for when I cut grass, etc. and don't want to receive alerts. I set my time to 120 minutes, but you can set this to whatever you prefer.

I'm not sure if the command is different in Hass.io, but this is the command that I run for Deepstack on Docker in Ubuntu to start it with the noavx tag: sudo docker run -e VISION-DETECTION=True -v localstorage:/datastore -p 80:5000 deepquestai/deepstack:noavx

Unfortunately this can't detect packages yet, at least that isn't a detection type in AI Tool. Deepstack may be able to detect packages, although if it did I'd imagine @GentlePumpkin would have included it as an object type in AI Tool.

Glad to hear that you were able get Deepstack working on Windows; it can be a pain getting it working initially. I had a similar experience when I first stated running Deepstack on my BI machine where it wouldn’t accept images until some time had passed. I had it pick up incorrect objects, i.e...

I am not referring to the GPU being passed through from the host to the VM, I am talking about AVX from the host CPU being passed through. From my testing ESXi doesn't natively pass the AVX feature through to the guest. I am not sure which Hypervisor you're running.

Are you running VMware Workstation or ESXi? If you are running ESXi it is because the AVX tag isn't passed to the VM from the host. VMware Workstation passes this tag natively.

Please see my post #338 in this thread. I outlined the prerequisites for running Deepstack on Windows. The one prerequisite is Visual C++. The other is that your processor HAS to support AVX for Deepstack to run in Windows. If the processor doesn't support AVX then you can run Deepstack in...

Is the front door camera running in day or IR mode? I've had a few instances of false alerts on one of my cameras that run forced color mode that is in a low light area where Deesptack thought that deer were a person. Not natively. I think that the only way to achieve this would be to create a duplicate camera with a different name in BI as well as AI Tool and set the detection type to vehicles and the duplicate to person. This wouldn’t be controlled by the cool down period in AI Tool. This would be a nice...
