    I got this baby wired up by the builder. They supplied two monitors also. [ Don't ask how much though; it was EXPENSIVE ] I think I have the 1MP version though. Maybe I can substitute it in the future. It's running POE. WIll report back when I have it running.

    My NVR http://pl.dahuasecurity.com/download/DHI-NVR4108_4116-8P-4KS2_Datasheet_20161028.pdf can only accept max of 6tb I think. I will get one of those. Do peeps use the Seagate varieties or is it best to stick to WD Purple? Thanks.

    That's correct. Higher shutter speed will reduce exposure ie brightness. Lower shutter opposite. I suspect the gain adjusts the aperture of the lens. I could be wrong.
