    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Looks like human to human transmission rates are lowish. Needs about 15 minutes of contact for it to pass on. I am positive about reasonable containment outside of China.

    Dahua IPC-T5442TM-AS-LED review

I reckon this is designed for tight corridors/alley ways to deter and monitor in commercial settings where a LEd light shining all night wouldn't be considered a bad thing.

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

First cases of human-human transmission reported. Still not the most common though. https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/coronavirus-spreads-humantohuman-in-germany-and-japan/news-story/df0307aecb83492dea6fd59ce9462abd Lets hope the virus remains mostly zoonotic. Then it...

Also it's best to get the information from the proper sources. While that doc John Campbell is ok it's probably faster and more organised to just read the official information. Youtube stuff is unfiltered and any one with a mic can make up stuff as they please...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Nah where I live. Best to check data for where you live. https://www1.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/ohp-2019-nCoV-areas.htm The Chinese data is unreliable. I am hopeful that the current mutation can't jump that easily. If it's just a zoonosis, it will affect the people who...

The masks that filter out viruses would have tiny pores. Still better to wear a mask though. Wash ya hands. Avoid un-necessary travel.

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

I wouldn't worry too much just yet. Curiously no human to human transmission has been noted. If there is human to human transmission, it will be similar to SARS epidemic a few years ago. The old, young and the immunosuppressed are at risk.

How do I get streams to display on my doorbell monitor?

Hello everyone, I have a Dahua villa doorbell with two LCD monitors. I also have Dahua OEM wired cameras and Dahua OEM NVR 4108 on the same network. I understand that cameras will be on a different 'subnet'. How do I get the correct IP address so that I can use the LCD monitor also to display...

    Driveway Dusk to Dawn Light

Another option but definitely not as powerful. But it's cool to think about the concept of the sensor being built into the light. https://www.amazon.co.uk/MiniSun-Sensor-Neutral-White-4500K/dp/B01IHEII7M I got these little babies for ambient lighting the front of my house with a set and forget...

    Driveway Dusk to Dawn Light

Suggest mains powered dawn to dusk light. Set and forget. Install a dawn to dusk sensor and put that on the lights you want to light up. In Australia we need an electrician to do this but your rules may differ.

    Review-OEM IPC-T2231T-ZS Ver 2, 2mp Varifocal Starlight Camera

I have no expertise in ipcams but DUDE, this is not possible unless we change physics. :) To 'see' you need some EM radiation, whether it be IR or visible light. Perhaps just define your goals for example "Excellent face ID at night" and then go and find the ideal cam.
