    How are Dahua doorbells?

I have a Lorex doorbell camera and WiFi works fine once you get everything set up. I did have to install a new doorbell chime and larger transformer since my original 40+ year old Nutone doorbell wasn't compatible with the Lorex doorbell camera.

Please need help , changed google nest to eero & no camera works on BI

The newer products are geared towards the average home user so manufacturers want them to be easy to set up and use right out of the box, plus it saves cost not having to develop and maintain an onboard webpage interface. Everything is going that way now but I'm old school too so I hear ya...

I have a TP-Link Deco Mesh router and it's the same way....no web interface, but I actually like controlling it from my phone although at first I hated it and almost sent it back. :lmao: :lmao:

Please need help , changed google nest to eero & no camera works on BI

Do not use port forwarding....and you shouldn't have to on an isolated local network. Check all of your IP addresses and subnet mask to make sure they're in the same range (see the error message in your last photo) and use IP ping to test each one. If devices fail to respond to IP ping requests...

Networking NVR with 2 Switches - Unsuccessful to Date, Need Help

The NVR recognizes cameras...not switches. The NVR only needs one network connection point and the switches are just part of your network setup so I don't understand why you want multiple switches connecting directly to the NVR.

Bicycle Crash And She Did Not Drop One Drop Of Her Drink

That was a nice save. When I was young I used to ride with no hands on the handlebars but fortunately never had a serious crash. I'd probably face plant if I tried doing that today. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Need Help Connecting Lorex Bullet Cameras (E841CA ) to Reolink NVR (RLN36)

Can you see any cameras in the app or just not certain cameras? Just for grins....try using the Lorex Cloud app to see if it will connect.

Need Help Connecting Lorex Bullet Cameras (E841CA ) to Reolink NVR (RLN36)

Don't do the bolded...you only want one LAN network feed cable going to the NVR, not two. Keep the cable going from the LAN port on the NVR to the router, but get rid of the other one going from the uplink port on the switch to the NVR.

Need Help Connecting Lorex Bullet Cameras (E841CA ) to Reolink NVR (RLN36)

If you know the IP addresses for the cameras then try to do a manual add on the NVR and use ONVIF. Sometimes the NVR camera search engine won't find a camera that I know is there but adding it manually works fine.

Question: Trying to connect multiple Cams, through one ethernet, to multiple NVR ports... is it possible???

Just because you can do something like that doesn't mean it's a good idea and could cause NVR port failures down the road since they aren't designed to support multiple cameras on one port.

Question: Trying to connect multiple Cams, through one ethernet, to multiple NVR ports... is it possible???

Yes....that would work if he's familiar working with static IP's. My thought was to use DHCP at first just to get it running and then those working IP addresses could be made static if desired.

Question: Trying to connect multiple Cams, through one ethernet, to multiple NVR ports... is it possible???

Yes.....your updated drawing is what I was saying. If you have DHCP enabled on the router then everything should be visible to the NVR and will self configure. Some people like to set up separate VLAN's and use static IP addresses but that's another topic. :lmao:

Question: Trying to connect multiple Cams, through one ethernet, to multiple NVR ports... is it possible???

Your drawing would work, but I'd connect the NVR to the LAN hub inside the house instead of the outbuilding which would free up one of your cable runs - the purple dotted line. In that case you would need the red line cable in your outbuilding drawing going to the PoE switch with the three...

Blueiris on a mini PC? Check out these specs!

The Mini PC's use SSD drives and there's really not much inside there to overheat, but they do have a cooling fan, at least the Mini PC's I have do.

Blueiris on a mini PC? Check out these specs!

I bought an Intel NUC to run BI but they aren't cheap and then I ended up not using BI. You gotta be careful with some of the no name brand Mini PC's on Amazon. They're cheap but have very limited customer support behind them and no downloadable firmware updates....I have several at work, so I'm...

Specific request, is this even possible...

The Lorex doorbell camera has onboard storage capability and it looks a bit narrower in size compared to the Reolink which could make a difference in tight space mounting locations next to doors where current doorbell buttons exist.

Had a little visitor this morning....

My wife happened to catch seeing this now deceased little guy on the sump pump cam in our crawlspace early this morning....and then she saw a deer having breakfast in the back yard. If you can get the manufacturer and model number of the existing doorbell chime you can call Lorex customer support and they'll look it up to see if it's compatible with their doorbell camera. Specific request, is this even possible...

I think the Lorex doorbell camera would support this and there are no subscription fees. You might have to replace your existing doorbell chime and transformer if it's not compatible with the doorbell camera, but that's the case with most doorbell cameras so it's not just a Lorex thing...

The Bank Will Fight You After They Give Your Money to a Scammer : Steve Lehto

You could go with pole mounted cameras away from the house which is what I did. I have six pole mounted cameras and it was a bit of work installing everything over time, but the end results were worth the effort.

Mounting Camera to Existing Lamp Holder

I know you want this to be something simple but honestly I think you're fighting a losing battle and won't be happy with the end results. Much depends on what your expectations are for the cameras...assuming you can find one, versus just installing regular PoE cameras.
