    Testing on two front gate cams Simple vs EV. Not much activity since update earlier today. Might need one of those dreaded windy + cloudy days to make some comparisons & adjustments. Ken is always on top of his game. It's hard not to be amazed/ impressed by his efforts.

    Not sure the Uhppote is weatherproof. Interesting find. Good to see there are options out there. I like the ubiquity gear. Ubiquity are replaced a 2yr+ mesh AP recently, so I'm a big fan. It was 18 months over 12 month warranty period, replaced no fuss.

    Have Dahua SD6AE240V-HNI that refuses to be powered by the US-8-150W. The USW-flex might solve this issue. Only concern is the operating temperature range (max) is pretty standard. I might have to mount to rear of enclosure, rather than internally. Looks good, thanks for the heads up on this.

    Video not working with recent V5 updates for a Dahua PTZ

    Try any setting. Intel worked for me. The camera that had the issue was disabled and hidden in BI4 just before the update. When I enabled the camera (BI5) I noticed it had picked up the "default" value. I am certain I have only ever used "intel" in this setting, so I changed it.

    Plate Recognizer for ALPR

    Sadly, Plate Reconizer is not even close to being any sort of competition to OpenALPR. I wanted PR to be great, its not. Lacking in so many areas. :( IMO Blue Iris integrtion should have went with OpenALPR. Perhaps Ken will add this integration at some point in the future.

    I've got a few Microseven bullet mics, no issues. I can clearly pick up approaching cars at night a mile away. I found that when I was using the Dahua switch they had noise, but noise stopped after connecting to a Ubiquity switch. So If you have noise try other switches . M7WP-MIC - $19.99...
