    Is this a good buy

I recently purchased a Optiplex 7040 with a single 3.5" bay an single SATA power connector as you describe. I got on Amazon and purchased a 9.5mm DVD caddy. This allows you to remove the slim DVD drive and put a 2.5" drive in it place. They sell them for $8.99 or less and come in both 9.5 and...

    Dell small form factor

Yes I have a Optiplex 7040 SFF. It has a single 5.25” bay and a M.2 socket on MB for a SSD. Has a thin 9.5mm optical drive. I already had a WD Blue SDD 2.5 drive. Got on Amazon and found a DVD drive caddy that allows a standard 2.5” drive to work in the DVD bay. Works great as the OS drive and...

Latest New 20181228 Firmware for DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea

Updated my IPC-HDW5831R-ZE and it is working fine except auto focus acts weird compared to 622. Seems to overshoot and a few times focused very blurry. Good thing is video streams in Chrome with no plugin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

How to drill straight down through top plate?

Flex drill bit up from where ever you are running wire from exterior. They bend enough to feed up through the opening into wall cavity and drill up through the top plate from below. Done a few exterior walls running cat 5 and a 22/4. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Thank you for telling me to use Coax-Seal

What about the DC plug on a Dahau? Should it be covered and waterproofed like the RG-45. Not using it but wonder if it has a voltage on it when using POE? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Network Install - Phase 1

Just finished up my phase 1 project as well. Getting ready for some POE IP cams. Had to reconfigure network connections and expand. Old setup. Removed to make room for this. Still need to get a rack mount UPS. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
