    Raspbery Pi2 Camera Monitor w/Rpisurv

I didn't recall which one I used, so I booted them up and looks like I used the 2 and had the 1 as an aircraft flight monitor using an SDR module. You could try installing VLC software and see if it can stream a sub-stream...

The Medical Industry is soooooo Broken

Having enough funds to live on during the 4 years between 66-70, do Roth conversions and take SS at 70. One friend worked 1/2 time for two years, doing conversions and retired at 62, he will continue to do conversions based at a level not to effect his market place health care cost until 65...

The Medical Industry is soooooo Broken

Is Shingles related to hereditary? I don't know of anyone in my family tree ever getting them. About 10 years ago, my company offered the high deductible plan which we pay nothing out of paycheck, along with adding $750/yr into our Health Savings Account, but has a 2,500.00 deductible. Which...

    New Doorbell advice

They had them on sale a week or so ago on their website, but looks like they ran out. See them on US Amazon, but not on UK Amazon site. Imagine that they'll have them in future, mean while, best to read the thread to see if that would work for you. Looking at specs, it states Google Assistant.

    Wyze Cam v3

I have a couple v1, one with the official RTSP hack and another with dafang hack, which I used on a network without internet access. As mentioned by Mike A., they may loose connections randomly if wireless is weak or wireless channel is congested. As for V3, I believe even with RTSP enabled...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

My door faces the sun for about 2 hours in the morning, not having WDR or BLC is a negative, although my first gen RCA/LTS/HkV one doesn't have it either (on the web interface). Did you have a chance to see if both doorbells will ring the same chime? With many IOT, you need to pair it and...

    IPC-WL46A 4MP Fixed-focal Floodlight Network Camera

Looking forward to your review. I'll be interested in the actual weight and how they made it lighter. Helped friend put up the older Amcrest one. The problem was with cheaper houses sometimes they only use aluminum eaves that have no supporting 2x6 under it. For light-weight flood lights...

    Where is the Balloon?

US has been working on lasers, would be a good test to see if it can reach it :). It would be best to capture it...using a laser and putting just enough holes in it to bring it down without destroying the electronics.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Trying to catch up with this thread, haven't been on forum as much in the last few months. I browsed the thread and have a couple questions: @David L, when you have two doorbells, will both trigger the same chime or are they paired up such that it will only trigger the included chime? Also...

    How to setup 20 cameras?

If you plan to turn on the time/date information of each camera, they tend to drift. To keep the time on your cameras up to date. When setting up the cam, you can point to the NTP server (I believe it uses port 123). Note that others that use the two network card method install a NTP server...

    How to setup 20 cameras?

As mattp stated above, the easiest is to use two network cards (which I do also). However, with PFSense, the alternative is to use VLANs using one network interface on your pfsense box or if your box has multiple network interfaces, use one of the extra interfaces for camera network. Then...

    Wall Mount Dilemma

You could use the above python script to trigger the cam mentioned by @anotherone, and combine it with what @erkme73 mentioned. Then set up a task using Task Scheduler (known as a cron job in Linux/UNIX :)) and have the python script run once a month.... Check out the how to...

    Cam1: No signal

Open up a command prompt window (click on search near the Start button on Windows and type in: cmd). In the command prompt window, type in: ipconfg This should show you your computer IP Address and your Router address, as shown below. In this example, the computer is 192.168.1.5 and router...

How about supplying more information, such as version of BI, camera make and model, IP address of router, computer and camera. Try rebooting your system, log in and see if BI is running as a service (Ctl+Alt+Del), select Task Manager, select Services tab. For most cameras, you should be...

Possible to pull camera stream from another BI server installation?

Ok, had a chance to try it myself, using one of my local cams. using the rtsp:/username:password@MyBlueIrisIPaddress:81/ShortCameraName technique and creating a new cam with the RTSP stream info, but have no luck doing so. Not sure why it won't work. Maybe someone else has a clue. The only...

VIDEO: Off-duty Alabama officer hit by car in his front yard

In NY State, you had to go in front of a judge to get a pistol permit and had to state why, and if you had any arrests, etc. you had to explain the circumstances, etc., I assume that it's still the same, along with new law passed by Cuomo and democrats (after they took control of both state...

VIDEO: Off-duty Alabama officer hit by car in his front yard

I assume for safety reason and possible local laws, you need to lock up your arms if not carrying...and would take time to get and load. Not sure how that would effect officers.

Possible to pull camera stream from another BI server installation?

First we need to see if the RTSP entry you are showing above works. Try using VLC video streamer on your computer. Assuming your BI web server is set to port 81, select Media / Open Network Stream, then enter in: rtsp://username:password@MyBlueIrisIPaddress:81/ShortCameraName Next, if that...
