the intention is a 3mp setup for most of the cameras but right now it's a combination of 1 - 3 until I can get the proper equipment in place. Great info! It sounds like you can't go wrong with the new Haswell i7s but might not be what I need. I was looking at an i7-5820k but with the need for DDR4 RAM it might not be worth it right now. wish I had one when this recently happened to me. I would have loved to sneak up behind them and bash their head in but instead we just yelled and they ran. We have a large dog now so hopefully that helps keep the baddies out. and the cameras and the alarm system..i'm counting on them all. -
How to give Ken access to my BI
I agree with fenderman. That is my choice of remote support tools. It's free and you don't even has to install it. Just choose the "run" option. What it does is generates a connection ID and password that you will supply Ken with so he can connect to your machine and help you. In a nutshell...- NetWorker

I'm new to BI as well but as I understand it the camera login credentials are separete from BI. In other words whatever username and password changes you make for the BI interface has nothing to do with the cameras.
