    Why do you need to update the firmware is there a problem. My experience with chinese clone cameras is leave them as they are don't upgrade them they can turn into bricks.

    I needed to set the sub stream to video audio too, not easy to see or find until you know where it is and what you are doing, it's the only one of my 12 hikvision cameras that has sound so never had to try and set it up before. I am old too lol

    I have relocated the Dahua now and am much happier with its night time image. Its led was interfering with the function of the Hikvisions led. They were both pretty close for testing purposes. There is no ambient light no street lights nothing bar it's own night LED'S

    Initial review of the DS-2CD2347G2-L(U) ColorVu 2.0 IP camera.

    Is the G2 any better than the G1 in day light, I have recently purchased the G1 and found it mediocre in the daylight but excellent in dark. I have left all settings as it comes out of the box. The daylight function isn't really an issue for me as I need it for night viewing.
