    Dahua SD65F230 - Can't upgrade firmware - Stuck at 75%

It's possible that international cams in the USA cannot auto-update because the firmware files are not available - I had to VPN to Canada to get to the firmware tab on this page: IPC-HFW2831T-ZS Another user said the tab was available, but couldn't figure out why I couldn't see it - created an...

    IPC-T2431T-AS Firmware issue

I just upgraded using DH_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec_MultiLang_PN_V2.800.0000000.24.R.201014.bin even though my camera was purchased in 2019 Is it going to go up in a huge ball of flames? ;) Edit: this upgrade is Empiretech-Approved

Interesting. What's your motivation for doing this? Purely altruistic?

Unhappy with stability of HFW2831T-ZS cameras

I VPN-ed to Canada and now there's a firmware tab on the Dahua international website: I'm waiting to hear back from Andy to see if it's OK to use this, but at least I could finally get a handle on where to find it.

Unhappy with stability of HFW2831T-ZS cameras

Can you copy the URL for me, please? I don't see it on my phone (also Android, also Chrome). I'm at IPC-HFW2831T-ZS which apparently is the "international - English" page. I can't seem find the camera on us.dahuasecurity.com (yet). Edit: I take this back - obviously I'm on the same page as...

Weird, I have visited this page before looking for firmware, but don't see a tab for it in download - am I missing something?

Unhappy with stability of HFW2831T-ZS cameras

User error definitely the most probable issue in all circumstances, but there's not a lot of room here because there's not a lot of options. You'd usually expect dahua app connected to dahua camera, live feed stream connects perfectly, you add a record stream in DMSS and expect it to connect...

Unhappy with stability of HFW2831T-ZS cameras

Re: Milestone, I set always recording rule. But we're not experiencing any recording issues w/ Milestone -- Only internal camera sd card - and the issue doesn't appear to be the actual recording on the camera, it's connecting TO the camera to view the recordings in the Dahua app. You click to...

Unhappy with stability of HFW2831T-ZS cameras

I would usually think something like that, too, but it doesn't do it for live feed - only the recording. I was thinking maybe an issue w/ the app (which none of us like, almost wish we would have gone w/ Hikvision solely for that reason). Tester seems to be reliable...

Unhappy with stability of HFW2831T-ZS cameras

Hi, I have a friend who bought 3x HFW2831T-ZS from Andy's Amazon store. I help him manage them since they're his first IP cams. He's got a ton of Wyze, Rings and an old Hikvision HVI 32ch DVR, so I was anxious to show him how great IP cameras are, but the HFW2831T-ZS have been super unstable...

SD Card recording: viewing only works 20% of the time, SD cards sometimes disappear until reboot

Yeah, totes, I agree. I should have gone with a 128GB and a high endurance. Nice to know a U1 will work bc samsung pro endurance is U1 and that was one I was looking at, but I instead went with the SanDisk High Endurance - which I think is same as Max Endurance without the 10yr warranty...

Dahua SD card recording problems and most reliable sd card?

It is pretty crap. I much prefer an NVR, but we just don't have one yet. Hopefully soon.

Dahua SD card recording problems and most reliable sd card?

I'm wondering if they're just re-branded, I don't think WD makes their own NAND (?). Probably Samsung, Hynix, Sandisk or Micron. I kinda want to try them too, though.

SD Card recording: viewing only works 20% of the time, SD cards sometimes disappear until reboot

What particular cards do you recommend? Is U1 OK for 4K recording? Samsung and SanDisk both make a high endurance, but they're U1 and only available in 128GB, which is why I decided to go with the 256GB U3 SPs (also, money).

SD Card recording: viewing only works 20% of the time, SD cards sometimes disappear until reboot

It's definitely possible, although my experience has been that mfgs release a camera while only the smaller size cards exist, and then a larger size card comes out after the release of the camera, they just couldn't test it because it wasn't out yet. I should probably check to see when the...

SD Card recording: viewing only works 20% of the time, SD cards sometimes disappear until reboot

Hey, So I installed these cameras at a restaurant for the parking lot - lotta prowlers. They're pretty important for the company, so I'm really upset that they're not more reliable Camera model: HFW2831T-ZS Purchased from Andy...

HP Procurve J8762A 2600-8-PWR PoE Integrated Switch

Look at this ridiculous thing: HP ProCurve Switch 2650-PWR J8165A 10/100/1000Mbps 48-Port PoE Switch Tested 808736675376 | eBay That would be perfect for someone wanting to power a lot of IP cams. Has anyone gotten a Dahua camera to work in iVMS-4500?

Hey, I have a friend who bought some Dahua IP cams. He already uses iVMS-4500 for his Hikvision DVR, which I've gotten to work with off-brand IP cameras but never a Dahua camera. I would rather not tell him he has to get a new app to view his new cameras, so I thought I'd ask to see if anyone...

Dahua camera accepts 128G micro SD card

I wanted to revive this thread because it helped me in selecting 256GB micro sd cards for 3 Dahua IPC-HFW2831T-ZS cameras I'm setting up IPC-HFW2831T-ZS says its max is 128GB, but I've seen this with motherboards where the largest DIMM size when they're released is smaller than what they'll...

    Dahua NVR5432-4KS2 vs NVR608-32-4KS2 - what's the diff?

Thanks! Yeah we'll be getting one without a switch and buy those separately. Was going to place a couple POE switches around the property since it's a big place, then we won't have to run a cable for every camera all the way back to the NVR.

    Dahua NVR5432-4KS2 vs NVR608-32-4KS2 - what's the diff?

Cool, thanks. Yeah I went through some datasheets I found. There's a model of the 5432-16p-4ks2 that has POE and one that doesn't (no '16p) - we were looking at the one without it. Other than that, they look very similar. I wonder why the less expensive 5432 model would have AI if the...

    Dahua NVR5432-4KS2 vs NVR608-32-4KS2 - what's the diff?

Hi, So I'm helping a friend upgrade their system at their restaurant and get into some IP cameras. Right now they have an old Hikvision DVR but they will need an NVR for the IP cameras. He prefers hardware units, so BI, SmartPSS, Milestone, etc. not what we're looking at. I'm trying to...

    (8MP) IPC-HFW1831E Review

Nice review. Isn't the ipc-t5442tm-as fairly similar spec in a turret design? I noticed 1/1.8" sensor and high FPS (e.g. 20-30fps @ 8MP) were the same right away, which is why I'm looking at IPC-HFW1831E. Just got the ipc-t5442tm-as last week, ridiculously good at night.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

Ahh, that's a good idea. Although the other mount is better since it has an X and Y axis, w/ the plate the only adjustment is Y axis, the X is set to however you position the plate on the surface.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

I've never seen one, is the top plastic? Not a fan of drilling metal, if it's metal I'd probably just use a PVC junction box. Hard to believe Dahua doesn't make something specifically compatible with that type of mount though, the swivel mount looks like it has a very standard hole pattern.
