    Why? Because not all the pins on the RJ45 are used for data. So you can have a pin not working which is used for power and yet RJ45 will still work with data and separate power from the 12V.

    AHD > HDCVI but they all use analog connections. OP you need to wait until your first camera turns up and play with that. No offence, but you are not experienced enough to start buying random things from Aliexpress yet.

    Pointing it out of a window will be near on useless at night. The day quality isn't good either. Well it's good if you think Sricam is quality, so some people say it's good.     You really need to be a hobbyist/tinkerer/techie to get one of these. It's not recommended for noobs. Get shielded outdoor ethernet cable. It's meant for... outdoors!

    Send you a link to a good what? Power Line Converter? Wireless AP? Wireless camera? To do wireless is going to need a lot of equipment and to be frank, more expertise than you have. That's why most here (including me) recommend PowerLine for this.
