need some help iding a cemera

look a like a rebranded Chinese generic camera. Probably, you will need to disassembly the camera in order to locate the reset pin. Usually is reset by grounding the pin next to the +vcc pin, located in the main board. A photo could help in order to identify the board type...

    Outdoor rated cable?

my cable choice is Genesis (Honeywell), but normally available in 500/1000FT. You may look at Amazon for direct burial ethernet cable. If water/moisture elements are critical, look for “gel filled” cable (sticky, cleaning connectors is crucial). For such a short distance, have you consider pvc...

    Alexa compatibly for Dahua NVR

I have a couple of Imou Alexa ready ip cameras, (Dahua counterpart for home ecosystem). What you will basically get is displaying the camera through a monitor, calling up with your voice. In my case, I’m using an echo show (could use an stick as well). IMO, the process is quite slow for...

    Motion Sensor

my Dakota Alert belongs to the Long range MURS (Multi-Use-Radio-Service) Alert family. The MURS Alert transmitter use 6AA batteries, while the receiver includes the contact relays. Please check DA web site for new models, since mine are quite old, but still operational. No need for cabling, is...

    Motion Sensor

Not sure how far your sensor will be located, but even if distance is considerable, Dakota Alerts includes Tx/Rx, which can be installed to an NVR input relay, or as an independent zone in an alarm system. Even thou the receiver may include a local chime notification, a N/O relay may trigger a...

    Camera in Crawspace

I like the idea of an inexpensive ip camera, but will prefer some kind of notifications from a sensor (heat, water, etc.). A camera with relays will be perfect, but it will increase the cost. Since the crawspace is normally dark or have no movement (except for spiders), using the motion...

Thinking of getting a Costco Lorex system - should I?

ask for the warranty. I understand if only one camera fails, you need to return (disassembly) the entire system. Please confirm, not necessarily the same for each region

    Missing UID

sometimes the installed app will search for the camera connected within the same network (2.4Ghz). The following is for a different brand, but using the same ICsee app. Give a try! https://support.sannce.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000423283-iCsee-How-to-Add-the-Camera-to-APP-iCsee-

Are all Dahua IP cams supported by Imou app>

if p2p is available, should be no problem. I just tested an old oem camera (2015), same procedure for manually adding into imou app

Are all Dahua IP cams supported by Imou app>

In my case I prefer the dmss app if running both brands, since it allows for "remote configuration" in my Cruise model. It allows for accessing the camera settings, providing control over resolution, frame rate, etc. You will need the pss software for this type of adjustment, since the Cruise...

Are all Dahua IP cams supported by Imou app>

yes, everything is operational, including notifications and accessing the recorded events in memory. With both app running, the dmss server provides faster motion notifications than the imou, by almost 10s

Are all Dahua IP cams supported by Imou app>

as your request, tested adding an N42BJ62 IP Dahua Cam, using the "IPC Other" device within the Imou app. Add the Dahua SN, while leaving "empty" the Safety Code. It will then ask for the actual unit password (customer created)

Are all Dahua IP cams supported by Imou app>

the imou app will only accept serial number + safety code, which is only limited for imou products. By contrary, you may add imou cams into dmss app, even through the local IP domain (local network) or remotely via P2P. Only tested with Cruiser and Turret models.

    Will these work?

is a Hikvision NVR, not sure if the gui menu includes english language. Normally the power supply accepts a wider range of international voltages/cycles (100~220, 50/60hz), just use the correct adapter (US). Previous ipcamtalk post include changing the firmware. Good luck...

I understand your particular unit is a Hikvision OEM product. Sometimes that particular issue could be related to a bad hard drive. You may also check an underrated power supply
