windows movie maker might work but online documentation show that it seem to be supporting up to 1080 resolution, my solution work with higher resolution (you can see the video linked as an example)
also ffmpeg, work on windows / linux / macos, the script above should generate command line that...
so I wanted to do timelapse for my own benefit and while searching i found out that it wasn't that easy.
I made this powershell script that prepare everything for you, you need ffmpeg (search for it)
if you have any question, let me know. step by step in the header of the file

off topic, I heard that the ir led are not inside the body so I would like to confirm the ir led are above the glass, the black section, just below hikvison? if i heard wrong, where are they?
thanks, i'm debating with myself for, better sensor vs higher zoom, i assume this is the only big difference (and maybe the only one) between these two
so this camera have no IR light, relying only on street light / other sources of light during the night
based on the picture below, do you see anything that could be improved with the setting? (if i forgot other settings that i should have included, ask and i will provide when i can)...
a month later, get a ladder go up and put your hand next to the camera, do you feel something? having camera on the same building doesnt mean that specific part / section isnt vibrating
hello
I got DS-2CD2155FWD-I with firmware 5.6.2, i recently I added a nas to do continuous recording and I found out that motion recording doesnt seem to happen anymore (or I can't access it) on the SD card.
I still get the email notification.
I don't have nvr and I do / access everything...
just because i had 3 minutes to spend, here i solved the thread. thanks
(there is so many other camera that could do that, too much choice)
i used IPVM Camera Calculator V3
i read somewhere that it is always a good idea to do a factory reset when upgrading firmware, i might read wrong but did you try this? it suck since you have to reconfigure everything...
i'm a real newbie in ip camera but try to lower the i-frame interval to match the fps, my understanding, it would take 3.33 seconds of bad video to correct glitch
50 / 15 = 3.33 seconds
I hope if i'm wrong, someone will jump in and correct me
(lower right corner)
40 is DS-2DE3304W-DE
41 is DS-2CD2155FWD-I
same setting on both, latest firmware on both, it's nice to have the 2155 converted from 5mp to 6mp!
i'm impressed by this DS-2DE3304W-DE, still inside so IR led is off on the other one, reflection is a thing :smash:
I just got 2 new camera and they have a plastic bag zip tied to the camera with what seem to be silica or something like that (I think)
should I remove it or leave it there? (if needed i could upload a picture later)
yup,but again this was taken from the inside, through a windows and when installed outside i will have a secondary light
worst case, if i find that camera useless during the summer i will try to sell it and get another one
first timer here with outdoor camera :winktongue: i will learn one way...
I noticed that, I think I got a good place to put it when I install it outside, street light and movement activated flood light should make it a "better" night time camera. I got a thread in hikvision subforum showing result of the street light alone and asking advice on how to make it "better"...
I should be able to install 1 or maybe 2 camera outside soon but it's going to be "cold"
This one will be installed for sure: hikvision DS-2DE3304W-DE
the camera is inside and online, warmer than the room temperature which about 20c (68f) to 22c (72f)
what is the best practice for installing...
first the video, at this time youtube didnt completely processed the video, the 3mp quality is not yet available
i'm testing the camera right now so it is inside the house looking through a windows
with my setting there is enough light outside, from the street lamp, so it doesn't go into...
