    That would not work as the Zeons don’t support the hardware acceleration like thr mainstream CPUs do. I may go ahead and spend a little extra on the Coffee Lake i7, depending on how much mother boards cost. I want this to be a mini ITX build.

    In reading this threads, I've come across a mention that router based VPN is fine for sub 10MB connections. I've got home fiber connection with 75 up / 75 down, and we watch a lot of Netflix. Is there a consumer level router with built in VPN that can handle this workload?

    Interesting comment on the NVR. I installed a similar unit in a commercial setting 1.5 years ago, and it hasn't skipped a beat. The NVR will be used for my set it and forget it cameras, and I'll have the Blue Iris license for incompatible cameras to play with.
