HikVision max bitrate keeps changing
Is the connection from cameras to NVR good? I have seen that happen when the connection is bad (like with wifi), where the bitrate on the cameras get lowered so they can keep up with the available bandwidth. -

Check the permissions that IVMS4500 has, so it can work on the background, so it can show notifications, so your Android will not kill the process if it is sitting too long idling, etc. Or go back to the old version that worked ok for you. -

Answering myself; there is no easy solution for this. There is no updated firmware, so notifications will not go to the shared users. One possible solution is to use a gen 2 indoor monitor, so the KB8112 calls the indoor monitor, and then the monitor can notify shared users via Hik-connect. -

Then, if you have P2P enabled and status is online, you just need to add the device with P2P like you were doing in DMSS. If it does not work with DMSS outside your network, DMSS might not the app you are supposed to use. Ask the seller of the unit what app you should be using. -

That is the default network config on Dahua's devices. It should work OK if your router is 192.168.1.1 and if it acts as a DNS server. To make sure, change the network config from fixed IP to DHCP. You do not need any subscription. Just enable P2P on the NVR, make sure the NVR is connected to the P2P network, and use the app you are supposed to use (DMSS, or whatever app, depending on the NVR firmware). -

I always have IP 64 available for newly activated Hik devices, not the case. No idea why this model showed on 67, but the fact that it was actually looking for a TFTP server on 192.168.1.128 instead of 192.0.0.128 which is what I was expecting was what was making me fail.
