Non-Hikvision ONVIF Camera not triggering motion detection on DS-7716NI-SP / 16

Ok, I kept the events window open and did my little test dance and nothing showed up in the window. The camera isn't exactly a no-brand, but a Foscam. It is interesting there is a line cross event because when I go through my NVR, it tells me that the camera doesn't support it. What's...

Non-Hikvision ONVIF Camera not triggering motion detection on DS-7716NI-SP / 16

Oh man, I logged into the camera and noticed that the ONVIF port is 8080 so I added that to the URL and now it is showing me all the info. So when I click on Events, it doesn't show anything (do I need to keep this window open to see if an event is recorded?) and when I click on the camera...

    Hikvision clones?

Sorry, I wasn't able to find a thread covering this doorbell (=80"]Search Results for Query: DS-KB6403-WIP | IP Cam Talk) so I started this one. Issues? Firmware that can be fixed later, or hardware? I'm just looking for an affordable ONVIF option and these Hikvision doorbell cams seem to be...

Non-Hikvision ONVIF Camera not triggering motion detection on DS-7716NI-SP / 16

I tried ONVIF Device Manager and when I tried to connect to the camera, I get: "There was no endpoint listening at http://192.168.1.40/onvif/device_service that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

But I've currently got an NVR, so I'd rather not get another recorder for different cameras.

Non-Hikvision ONVIF Camera not triggering motion detection on DS-7716NI-SP / 16

Hello, I have some Hikvision cameras connected to my DS-7716NI-SP that work great and trigger motion events just fine, but I purchased another ONVIF camera (not sure of the model) that setup just fine and I can view the video and recordings with no issues, but I just can't get it to trigger a...

    Hikvision clones?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if all of these doorbells are the same under the housing? Hikvision - https://www.amazon.com/HIKVISION-Doorphone-Doorbell-DS-KB6403-WIP-TF-card/dp/B07FSS6ZFH/ref=sr_1_3 Uniden -...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I'm not going to chance it. I guess I'll have to find another ONVIF alternative that works as well. Thanks!

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Does the RCA doorbell support ONVIF (to get it to record to Hikvision NVR)? They don't say anything about ONVIF on their website.

POE ONVIF compatible doorbell with WiFi/poe chimes

I am also looking for an ONVIF compatible doorbell. POE would be nice, but I figure I can just use existing wiring with transformer and WiFi. I just want to be able to use a doorbell cam with my Hikvision NVR, but it doesn't look like the Hikvision doorbell cam has many favourable reviews...

Change e-mail notification settings remotely for Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP

Hmm, yeah you can! I just found the setting. Now if I could just get the NVR to notify for alerts....

Change e-mail notification settings remotely for Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP

I'm in Canada on Freedom. Interesting thing is that I get texts when I enter the wrong password (illegal login). So I'm thinking that it has to do with the length of the e-mail generated when there's an event. I did some searching and it doesn't look like these can be edited so I think I...

Change e-mail notification settings remotely for Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm able to e-mail texts to my phone through my e-mail client, but I don't get anything from the NVR to my phone/text e-mail address. I guess I'll just have to manually enable each camera before I leave the house. That's a pain.

Change e-mail notification settings remotely for Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP

I was originally using BlueIris and it seemed to work well, but I was running it on my home server (before I knew it needed it's own dedicated system) and just chewed up resources. I don't have the cash or room for another dedicated PC, so I found a used NVR which I thought would do the same...

Change e-mail notification settings remotely for Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP

I picked up a Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP and I set up the Hik-Connect app on my android, but it looks like it's just for viewing. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to remotely (and possibly quickly, like a one button press) enable e-mail notifications on all cameras all the time (not just...

Is it possible to access IP cameras on LAN from NVR with different POE subnet?

This Foscam is ONVIF compliant, which is how BlueIris was able to pick it up, so why wouldn't it show up in the ODM? If I do a factory reset, would it show up (does it only show devices that have no password)? No, that can't be it, otherwise my NVR wouldn't show up. Perhaps it's slightly...

Is it possible to access IP cameras on LAN from NVR with different POE subnet?

Sorry, my post was supposed to say "...popped the camera back on Blue Iris...." not the NVR, and I was able to get the RTSP (554) and ONVIF (8999 for some reason) port from Blue Iris. I tried out the ONVIF Device Manager app and it doesn't look like it was able to see my Foscam or the Hikvision...

Is it possible to access IP cameras on LAN from NVR with different POE subnet?

I know it has to be done manually which is what I was describing what I was trying to do with this Foscam in my original post, but just kept getting Offline (Network Abnormal) with most of the settings I would use to get it to connect. Most of the threads that talk about connecting an IP camera...

Is it possible to access IP cameras on LAN from NVR with different POE subnet?

I think we have our lines crossed. The camera I'm trying to connect now isn't POE, so I don't really need a POE switch just yet (I'll probably add some POE cameras to the garage in the future, but I just want to make sure that I can add IP cameras to the NVR if they aren't directly connected)...

Is it possible to access IP cameras on LAN from NVR with different POE subnet?

Right now (just for testing/troubleshooting) the NVR and IP cam are on the same switch that is also connected to my main router. You mean just change the IP of the camera to a 254.x IP or physically connect it to the NVR? It's currently not connected, so I'm not sure what effect changing the IP...

Is it possible to access IP cameras on LAN from NVR with different POE subnet?

Yeah, I picked it up on Kijiji for not that much. I might use a POE camera in the future, but I just can't run a line back to the NVR. The garage is detached so I'll have to use a wireless bridge. I don't need a whole lot of features on the cameras away from the house, so as long as I can...

Is it possible to access IP cameras on LAN from NVR with different POE subnet?

I'm a newbie when it comes to IP cameras, and I just picked up a Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP / 16 NVR and I've also purchased two Hikvision dome cameras that connect to the NVR POE switches and they set up like a breeze and work just fine. Now, I had heard that you can use other IP cameras on an...
