Nothing wrong with the camera or the firmware... but from someone not reading the forums for advice before trying to upgrade. Grass is not greener from newer firmware. Sad, the Chinese have a regional firmware for their area, and we bought into it. Call nellys and buy something else. Lesson...
Read the forum. Do you have the box that the camera came in? Mail camera back to store or retire the camera to the junk drawer. You should have read the forum 1st.
Why did you update the FW? I've never heard a good reason why they updated. Lots of reasons on the forums to not update. Why did you update the firmware? You cant read the forums 1st?
I used this type of cable for my hik cams outside... http://www.amazon.com/Southwire-56917643-100-Feet-Outdoor-CMR-75-Degree/dp/B005V0BJ1S/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&qid=1434411410&sr=8-21&keywords=cat5e+outdoor+100%27
Why did you upgrade at all? Cant figure out this question. People know they have a Chinese camera. 10 minutes of reading would show you that there are problems with upgrading or downgrading Chinese cameras. Your cameras run great without ever upgrading. Learn to read Chinese is my answer(or buy...
I use an i7 4790 computer running Blue Iris for camera software (2TB hd, 8 gigs of ram) . Running 5 hikvision 2cd2032-I cameras. Computer uses about 15% of the cpu. Family uses the computer when ever they want (plenty of power)(and streams Netflix). Bought a amazon switch with poe (trendnet 8...
"What types of challenges are common with network setup for the cameras? "
My biggest challenge when I first started out was learning how to forward ports in the router, and learning how to make my own cat5 with rj45 ends. Rest was a piece of cake. You get to read a lot in these forums. If you...
Start with a Hikvision 2CD2032-I camera. Don't fill up a drawer with junk cameras that you bought to save money. Then read on this forum and others. Then ask questions about the camera. (shop at nellys.com or amazon to start). Run Ethernet cable to cameras. Don't use wifi cameras. Read more here...
"Obvious crap links and people trying to sell stuff or do nothing but sell advertising."
Carl's daughter owns "wrightwood surveillance". He was always trying to help her with sales (from most of the reviews). Yup, No Advertising There. There is no way anyone could review that many cameras...
Reviews would have to be shorter than your rants and posts of lately Uber. Wonder if his daughter would like it to remain in the family? Site goes and dad is forgotten.
I use this for my hik ds- 2cd2032 bullets (outdoor). I can reach all with the extended handle from the ground on my house. Yes spider webs are in MN too...
The public hack is the work of NetworkCamCritter, so he could help his daughter expose the hack to hikvision so they will forever close the region hack, thus ending the cheap china sales. His daughter owns a usa security sales business (and its been tanking because of CBX's hack). Put the blame...
"camera-of-the-year is Foscam FI9821W" and I have some swamp land to sell. Listen to Fenderman and save lots of money. Everyone has a Foscam in their junk drawer.
Just for fun.... would you change the I-frame-interval from 20 to 15 and drop the max bitrate from 4096 to 2048. And audio/video from highest to high setting. See if that helps too.
A friend of mine bought this camera a few weeks ago. He Bought a separate IR illuminator for it. Total darkness at his cabin. He asked me to look at his settings to improve night vision. His setting for day/night exposure was on 1/30. I know a lot about Hikvision settings but not his. In Hik...
