    Help with IP Camera purchase

Not exactly sure what you are asking other than it's just plugged into one of the routers ports. I connected from the Non-POE port of the Trendnet TPE-S50 to one of my router ports.

    Help with IP Camera purchase

Ok took quite awhile to get my camera as there was some mix up with Amanda's order but I finally got it and that's all that matters. Unfortunately now I'm going to be too busy for the next 3-4 weeks to install it. I would like to see if I can get it hooked up to my network though and I'm not...

Can't connect to server when on cellular

Yeah I forgot I did name it that. I always keep Blue Iris software up to date and I'm not aware of any new app updates but I always try to keep them updated too. Is it complicated to sign up for a dynamic dns service?

Can't connect to server when on cellular

Nope now it's back to making me tap on the Update Home Security. Seems like it can't remember settings or something. Most of the time I have to tap the Connect button after opening the app since it rarely auto connects like it's checked to do and does on WiFi. Then sometimes tapping Update Home...

Can't connect to server when on cellular

Fenderman I just discovered something interesting. In the app if I make sure I'm logged out and try to connect it says it cannot connect to the server. If I tap on Edit, 'Update Home Security', and then 'Connect' it will go ahead and connect to the server. I tried logging out after connecting...

Can't connect to server when on cellular

Well this is confusing to me because canyouseeme.org says: Error: I could not see your service on XXXXXXXXXXon port (80) When I go thru the Remote Access Wizard though it says I am using Port 81. So what does this all mean?

Can't connect to server when on cellular

First let me say networking is definitely not my strong suit so I may need detailed help. I'm running the latest version of BI, the official BI app and using a separate modem & router. I ran the Remote Access Wizard and get all green check marks. I'm able to view my camera via PC software and...

    Q's Cheap Camera Shootout

Thanks Q might be worth canceling it then. If I need another camera and like the Longse I could always order another one.

    Q's Cheap Camera Shootout

I've had on order a Longse LBW90S500 when I started reading this thread about the Besafe camera so also ordered one of those. Now having second thoughts about the Besafe do you think it will be a big letdown from the LBW90S500? Have no plans for the Besafe just sounded like a good cheap camera...

    Help with IP Camera purchase

Just patch cables since I've had no experience with terminating (nor any experience with Cat5e or Cat6). I've ran a lot of RG6 coax over the years but never outdoor Ethernet. I've read Cat5e is supposed to be easier to work with but since I've never held either cable (Cat5e or Cat6) in my hands...

    Help with IP Camera purchase

Thanks fenderman I may go ahead and order it then. You didn't say whether to use cat5e or cat6 so hoping the latter won't be too stiff to work with. Also apparently no issues if I have to coil up any extra if it ends up being too long.

    Help with IP Camera purchase

Guys I've done quite a bit of reading on this helpful forum but still have questions. It's been a week since I placed an order for the LBW90S500 with Amanda (PayPal account has been charged). Shouldn't I be hearing something back from her or have I gave it enough time? Cat5E or Cat6 cable very...

    Wifi Doorbell

I'm new to this forum but have already received great camera recommendations for my backyard. Anyway I've been using a GBF PL960M WIFI IP Doorbell http://gbfelectronics.com/product/gbf-pl960m/ for about 8 months now and been very satisfied with it. I actually bought it off Amazon not from GBF...

    Help with Masking

Well went back and read help file again. I came up with selecting Zone B and creating a rectangular box for it to detect motion in... excluding the tree limbs. I"m still getting some triggers without anything noticeable could shadows from the tree limbs be causing this?

    Help with Masking

Guys just purchased Blue Iris so still trying to figure out all the settings. I’ve basically left all the settings to default until I can better understand what they do. The image is from a doorbell camera and when really windy the tree limbs keep triggering the motion sensor. Calmer days no...
