So I’m not too knowledgeable with this stuff but I just turned off my WiFi network at home and tried to connect via cellular and it won’t connect says to check server address just like it was doing when I was trying to connect with my wife’s phone via nursing home’s WiFi network. I have the BI app on all my WiFi iPads (2), iPhone, and wife’s iPad. My wife is in a nursing home and for some reason when she opens the app to view our cameras it’s been saying check the server or whatever it says. Ok I thought it required more resources to use both a mainstream & substream guess I had it wrong. So I need to have substream enabled in the cam's online Settings but do I leave it at the default settings? Not seeing where looney2ns said to enable in BI? -

So we can all agree the 5442 fixed ASE has the best low light performance vs the 5442 VF... but would you consider both cams equals for daytime viewing? How about on cloudy days? -

Thanks Andy a little surprised a two year old camera like the IPC-T5442TM-AS is better than the newer Loryta IPC-T3241T-ZAS. I've never had any cams that weren't Vari-Focal... but on the other hand I rarely use that function so willing to try something new and maybe even the 3.6MM option. -

I have two Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z cams and a Loryta IPC-T3241T-ZAS cam these pretty much cover the outside of my house except for one area. If I wanted to add another cam is there something a little better than what I'm using without spending a lot more money? -

Thanks nice to know that is the expected picture for that camera. It goes in and out of focus during daylight hours not sure what it does at night... I can’t tell you how often it happens during the day just that it does. -

So is there any reason why this Monoprice Cat5e Ethernet Bulk Cable - Solid, 350MHz, UTP, CMR, Riser Rated, Pure Bare Copper Wire, 24AWG, 250ft, Black wouldn’t work for outside use and specifically for my needs? Or should I use CAT5e or CAT6 cable that’s outdoor rated? -
