DMSS playback not allowing me to filter the NVR AI IVS...

I asked tier 1 recently and they told me there isn’t a way to get just LPR alerts through DMSS. Which is kind of dumb if I only want to be notified if an ex employee/blacklist registers.

no idea what camera to get next, any help??

I’d be more concerned with relocating a couple of those cameras or the lights that are whitewashing them.

    Motorhome, RV cameras

What Tony said ^ Also consider idle power consumption; when vehicle/generator inverter isn’t running. I’d check the power specs of an hdcvi/dvr combo vs poe switch and cameras recording to sd cards.

How to get in to the camera settings

It might just say “connected without internet.” But then you can type in ip of the camera/s.

Hikvision camera and Dahua NVR & joystic. Motion rec and joystick issue.

I’ve got a hik ptz on a dahua nvr and don’t recall having to do anything to get ptz to work. Does yours work with on screen controls?

Recording 2 zones, but only alerting on 1?

Just delete the street zone, enable full screen motion and record motion and intelligent record. Or make one a tripwire and one an intrusion.

    Hall of shame

Tony there’s a 1” gap between the roof and that siding. So I’m guessing that rain is either landing on top flat surface of cam and getting in a failed seal, or I’ve had many of techs throw the desiccant out while installing on very humid days.

    Greetings from N.C.

On rural installs that have extra scratch for long distance cams, or preferably an outer peremiter series of cameras, I’ll find and store the local police dispatch number in there phones so when they get an entry alert they have the possibility of not wasting 20 minutes of 911 relays from...

    smart Pss

You have to go into the security settings and allow it. It’s been a minute since a customer had a MacBook but yeah, it’s a little process. Be patient and one of the guys will chime in with the exact grammar of those sub settings.

    Hall of shame

Got a new bar customer with your guys favorite cameras! Just told him he can’t see at night because the cameras are playschool, didn’t mention the failed seal!

Storing snapshots on a local NAS using the new GUI struggles

I wonder if the new gui doesn’t support older nfs security.

There are generics that might get you around termidors label, just search for fipronil, the active ingredient.

    Ants

In another life I was an exterminator. I don’t agree with this but anyone can buy stuff I used to have to have a license to get from this site. For ants/termites or any social insects this stuff will wipe out the entire colony even if only a few of them come in to contact with it. One bottle...

Just try the hik connect app and maybe you get lucky with the others being rebranded hik cams.

    HDMI output specific cameras

The problem lies in format/ratio, there’s no native way to make 6 only display on a 16.9 evenly with no wasted space.

How to Connect M7WP-MIC or DH-HAP320-V to DH-SD6C3425GB-HNR-A-PV1

Well the horn ain’t cheap; $415 USD but it’s poe and has a mic for two way audio

How to Connect M7WP-MIC or DH-HAP320-V to DH-SD6C3425GB-HNR-A-PV1

Camera you listed has speakers. If you want to add another one you could go IP, or analog. If the latter you’ve got a couple options; camera pigtails or audio out on nvr. Either will still require adding voltage as rca and pigtails are dry contacts. I have not used or even looked into how much...

TVT camera on POE port of a Dahua NVR, a strange case

Unless it’s a rebranded camera of same oem nvr, I wont bother hooking to nvr. Just enable onvif plug into a switch and call it a day.
  26. L

How to get in to the camera settings

Hardwire your computer to the poe ports on nvr if you’re wanting to get to the cameras instead of using nvrs settings.

Is there a trick to doing tripwire with the new GUI?

Sure. That’s how you set up overwatch cams to call ptzs to presets.

    Cable testing equipment.

Either of these are in your budget. The Klein has all the mappers but I rarely use it. If you get up to 4-$500 range you can get a good camera tester that has a lot more functionality for network cabling; will tell you how far the break is. I’ll post a pic when I get home.

Shared Cameras - DMSS - No online account

No, I meant in the DMSS app, when you get to the second or third step there’s an option below that by default is account.
