I seem to be having the same issue with my camera. I've only plugged it in to test it but when I finally got around to installing it, it seemed dead. Is there an easy way to see the exact focal length? The slider in the web interface goes from 0-1400 ... I mean if I wanted to use this camera as a template for buying non-motorized Dahua models in the future? Or will I just have to make a ballpark estimate here?- bjornhallberg

I'm also curious about shipping options and best practices. DHL/UPS sounds nice and fast but isn't import duties basically guaranteed? I.e. isn't it better to wait a month and take your chances with slow standard shipping (if available). I mean, that is how I normally buy things from China...- bjornhallberg
