Color 4K-T -- Day / Night... im missing something

I’m also using a 12 hour clock on my 4K-X but I send a signal to the cam at sunset to have it switch over to night mode so I guess I’m not really using its built in scheduling since im commanding it externally.

I saw this mentioned with Avast somewhere before so I can't take credit. I don't even know exactly why it breaks SSL but it sure as hell does it appears. Anti-virus is and has always been a sore point for me going back to the 90s. They act like viruses by breaking and slowing down things and...

Can this cam be setup so it starts in IR at night and then, when motion is detected, it transitions to color/white light?

What version of Windows is this? Usually certificate issues have to do with out of date OS. Also, are you running any antivirus software? Avast?

    Blue Iris UI3

I’m unfortunately still getting those error message on Brave IOS even after upgrading to UI-286. I can click "suppress alert" but I still get the red overlay on the right side of the screen in the actual camera view page. I made sure to stop the BI service, copy everything from the UI-286 zip...

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

@sunny0101786 You need both more zoom and a better angle. Camera needs to be moved so it’s looking further down the road at less of an angle then it is now.

That looks like the camera is malfunctioning. I think you just need newer/better cameras.

First Impressions of the new AI LPR camera

POE+ and only 3x optical zoom. The 12mm focal length alone is a game breaker for most of us. Only those that can mount this at the road can really take advantage of it. And do you have to run their crappy controller software to interact with this?

One and done camera solutions for store security?

All good advice in this thread. I have a camera pointed right on the front door of my business. I have it zoomed in tight so I get people as they walk in from their waist to the top of the their head. Makes it easy when police need to see a face (used it several times for this already...

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

I just looked up the cost of Starlink. Did they go up? They want $120/month for my address! I got a Tmobile hotspot plan for backup that I put the SIM in my router so if my Wow fiber goes down it switches over to TMobile. That’s only $12.50/month for 30GB. Edit: Oh I see they have a roaming...

2025 Optical Zoom Autotracking PTZ Recommendations

    CPAI integration?

I had a similar problem with CPAI. Not very accurate either when I was using it. Frigate was always spot on. Especially with a Coral device

    CPAI integration?

Frigate does its own AI inferencing. What would be the point of the two coming together? And I have to say, Frigate works really REALLY well. I'm not sure I want any CPAI code mixed into Frigate...

    Auxiliary IR Illuminator for LPR

The Z4 is great up to 75 feet or so. It drops off fast after that from my experience when I had it for LPR. Swapped it out for a Z12 and I get much more zoom now.

    Why Ubiquiti/Unifi over Dahua?

My issue is with the Unifi controller. I hated it when I use to run it years ago. I use to have everything Unifi. Routers, swtiches, APs, controllers, etc.. But what a buggy mess that controller was. Their forums are still littered with issues. I removed my last Unifi AP last week at my...

    Malfunctioning Street Lamp

If it’s being fed directly by the pole transformer then it’s a power company light. Does you power company not have a way to report a street light outage? My company has a map to identify street lights and each light has a metal tag indicating its ID number.

    PC Power Supply Requirements

A 750w psu is plenty for that. Bronze, silver, gold, platinum just speaks to the efficiency of the psu. You pay more upfront for higher grade supplies but get it back later via power savings (assuming it doesn’t shit the bed early).

    ID this NVR software?

Whatever NVR system it is, it doesn’t matter. You can’t afford it. It probably costs several hundred million dollars over decades of service contracts.

For those that have used both... Is onboard AI detection more accurate than CPAI?

Dahua IVS is magnitudes better than CPAI. It isn’t even comparable. Easier to deploy, setup, fine tune, and far more accurate unless you are training your own models with CPAI which is outside 99.999% of most people’s purview. I’ll never buy another camera again that doesn’t have built in AI.

Switch fried...grabbed a new one but cameras stopped working

No VLANS? Just a flat network (one subnet)? Do you have a desktop that you can plug into that switch? If so, I’d try that and plug the desktop into each switch port (plug the router into one port too) to test and see if it’s working by browsing the internet.
