Slowly going crazy - help with setting cams
Try shutter between 4-8ms (4ms preferably (that's between 1/250 - 1/125 if it works in DSLR camera terms)). Keep gain below 50. I'd highly recommend 4ms for blur avoidance.- CCTVCam

Did someone make new lens covers for the 5442 series bullets?
Tried Andy for spares? Maybe they could be user replaced. Don't know, just throwing it out there. An alternative would be low iron glass although you might have to get it professionally cut, or maybe making one out of a UV cut camera filter of the plastic type. Not sure how you'd cut it, but... -

To stop Ghosting Gain needs to be 50 or below & shutter at least 8ms (1/125 s ) minimum, preferably 4ms (1/250 s). Gain in the daytime should be zero or as near to zero as you can get it. That's general advice not specific to this camera. Ghosting is the result of a combination of too much... -

You can recover IE on any system. Unfortunately MS will regularly remove it with updates. There are tutorials out there on how to do this but basically you create a simple script that points to IE which is still hidden in the OS and create a desktop link. -

I'm not sure it is pulsing. That looks to me like a glitch in the firmware or a resource issue. It kind of looks like it's recording and then runs out of resources or hits an issue in the encoding so it resets. There's a kind of a loop situation going on. I think pulsing would be much faster... -

Then again I feel relatively secure as they're sat behind a modem firewall and a second router firewall neither of which are admin and both of which have secure passwords. Thanks Herp but f-stop is not really what I'm comparing. The lux values are what I was looking at and on the face of it there's 3 ten thousands of a lux difference in repsonsiveness. I can't see that making much of a difference but I'm open to being proven wrong. -

I've been looking at the specs, whilst the only way will be to see a comparison with the 4kt under simialr lighting, it's not far off in claimed ability: 4kt - Colour - Min Illumination - 0.0005 lux 581 - Colour - Min Illumination - 0.0008 lux So on paper there's just 0.0003 lux difference... -

IVS is not the way to go here. When you flip the camera around IVS lines become up and down not side to side. To trigger an IVS alert you have to walk through the lines at 90 degrees on a horizontal plane (not strictly exactly 90 degrees) but think of a + sign as the orientation it detects in... -

Skimmed this myself. Just looking at Scrypted's interface it looks like a consumer level interface akin to what I'd expect from a product such as Ring. Seems there's a lack of cameras with speakers and a lack of good aftermarket speakers espeically at a cheap price. Most aftermarket speakers seem either poor construction or nearly as much as the camera! Pity. -

Yeah we really need this and if possible vs 4kt. IR is ok but B&W really has a negative effect on identification. Colour makes such a difference if it's possible to run it at high shutters with only a little additional light. ie 300-400 lumens. -
