    Worlds First Review - Dahua - IPC-Color4K-X / DH-IPC-HFW5849T1-ASE-LED - Full Color 4K Camera

I have to agree. I loved the idea of a low light 8mp camera but it's been a big disappointment so far. Right from the go they seem under powered on the processing side with many features struggling. There's reliability issues as they don't like power cuts and can become uncontactable. There's a...

MFW5241T2-E3-ASE: new triple sight very long range perimeter protection camera

If it's only 2mp then that explains a lot. However, I don't hold out much hope for face retreival beyond the ideal distance because once you start to zoom you're going to lose the pixel count quickly. 2mp are fine for optical zoom cameras such as PTZ's as the world zooms in not the recorded...

    Door checker's with a weapon.

Sorry to hear about your father. I agree, it looks like a short barrelled AR to me. You can see the upper receiver quite clearly if you look carefully. Police definately need to be lookign for these guys. Any gun is dangerous but 5.42 is considerably more dangerous than any pistol round and more...

MFW5241T2-E3-ASE: new triple sight very long range perimeter protection camera

That does look cosndierably better than Dahua's own video. Only thing that stands out is that in the office the 25mm lens looks unsharp. Hard to tell from the outside pics without a reference point.

MFW5241T2-E3-ASE: new triple sight very long range perimeter protection camera

Yes that's the convenience of all in one. I'm all for it. I'm just not convinced that using 1/2.8 sensors is going to cut it. As above, great idea, maybe a rethink needed of how it's achieved before we have a camera that really appeals on picture quality. In the mean time, if it works for you...

separate exposure in half the 4kt180 cam?

No. You probably need to compromise the exposure. In the day, Backlight Compensation can help if you draw the compensation area carefully. You probably need to play around with drawing different sized areas and drawing in differing places until you find one that works. Other alternatives are HDR...

Just a joke that bond. Worst thign is, if he knows it was your camera, he's now free to come after you or your equipment. You house always looks to be in a good area, nice big houses, but I guess there's a bad element nearby.

New Dahua Tech / Cams coming soon - Wiz Colour?

Quick Question, can you have speaker activate but not the red / blue lights? I had one of the early tiocs and whist it certainly had a place, as a primary cam I wasn't too keen because I felt the red & blue lights took away from the picture and from identification. Personally, I'm a great fan...

New Dahua Tech / Cams coming soon - Wiz Colour?

The question is Steve what are they really like at night with illumination off, in full colour mode and with 4ms shutter and gain below 50. I thought these were amazing when I 1st saw them and started typing the thread but then noticed the obvious smudging when the guy on the ground in the camo...

New Dahua Tech / Cams coming soon - Wiz Colour?

Found this on the Dahua website. News about a new Tech "Wiz Colour". Dahua are claiming full colour at night "as bright as daylight". The accompanying videos on the page appear to confirm this is they're real video captures and not some kind of special effect...

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

I was recently unable to contact a 4kt camera after a power outage. It came back on it's own 3 days after the original power was removed. Prior to that it didn't exist. No utility could find it on the network despite network commonality with all but 1 metre of cable . This is the 2nd time I've...

    New LED streetlights!

Yeah they're great. Only trouble is the local authority will find out they can save a ton on their bills by turning the brightness down as they're dimmable. At night, our roads look darker now then when we had Sodium. Only advantage is the colour rendition. BTW, looks like gain / shutter...

Need Your Help to Decide between T54IR-ZE and Color4K-T and How to Install It

Yeah it's a great idea & a bigger more sensitive chip is the way to go for nightime colour, but it needs more stability, less power / connection issues (mine has come back on it's own tdoay after 3 days!!), a better CPU & / or more memory, a better lens with smaller aperture to increase DOF. I...

Need Your Help to Decide between T54IR-ZE and Color4K-T and How to Install It

I don't have an issues with settings, but recenty they haven't liked having the power removed. They've had it removed many times though over their lifespan, not always without issue. It seems to be some kind of weakness I've never heard of in another camera in here. No other reason why they'd...

Need Your Help to Decide between T54IR-ZE and Color4K-T and How to Install It

TBH I'd consider forgetting the built in lights and mounting a low wattage LED light on the house wall instead on a dusk to dawn sensor. A bulb of maybe 6-8w will give you all the light you need for a decent picture but you can boost that with a motion sensor activated flood light if you...

How to find the IP address of my Dahua camera

I don't sorry. Others are more expert than me and I don't have an NVR either. I use BI. This means I can't guarantee this is the issue. It depends on whether or not the cameras need to be on the same network or not. ATM one camera is on a 192.168....address and the other on a 10.1.1...address...

How to find the IP address of my Dahua camera

It's on a different network range to your other camera. Maybe that's the issue. If there's an ability to change the IP address from the NVR, change it to one within the same range. Give it a 10.1.1.X address to match your other camera all but for the last digit.

MFW5241T2-E3-ASE: new triple sight very long range perimeter protection camera

I'm sure they could easily put fixed lenses on. There's no need to put expensive zoom lenses on as per the individual 5442 lineup. 3 fixed lens at the focal lengths you mentioned would suffice. I'm sure there would be takers if the PQ quality was there. The cameras is great in concept, just...

MFW5241T2-E3-ASE: new triple sight very long range perimeter protection camera

TBH I still think it's a waste of time. 10 yrs ago we'd have been all over this. But now, we know that NV can be good and the newer sensors have opened up a world of better Picture Quality. Great Idea, but poorly implemented. As I mentioned, get the 3x 5442 S2 or s3 4mp chips in there, sort...

You've put yourself in a world of hurt. EVen if you can find some English firmeware that would go on, with every firmware update you might try you risk bricking the camera. Wrong firmware = no camera. Best advice, stick it on ebay, buy an International or US version. Andy on here sells...

    Recommendations for outdoor IP camera.

Wouldn't say it's the only reasonable choice, but if you're asking for the best camera for the money at a reasonable price, then that's it. Have you checked the thread on LPR? LPR is an art. At night the whole image will be black apart from the plate as you need to run IR and a very fast shutter speed. Hence why you need 2 cameras, one for LPR and one normal. You can forget full colour nightime LPR unless you live in a fully lit...
