Don't believe Trumps bullsh*t propoganda. Even Macron pulled him up on live US tv over his inaccuracies claiming the EU has loans and the US is paying. The EU has no repayments unless Russia voluntarily hands over it's seized assets to pay for the war. What are the chances of that happening...

Ukraine related: Was Ukraine Government Is Handing Out Guns To Citizens, What Happened to Gun Control?

You seem to not fully grasp the point I was saying. I'm not saying that many in the World hate the US because of the Ukraine. I'm saying that many in the rest of the world hate the US, war aside. You'd be very hard pushed to find many in the UK / Europe or most of the rest of the free world who...

Not sure how they'd achieve that unless through some staging deal with the US, but then again Russia has said it won't allow nukes on it's borders. Poland has no way to build them itself - it has no nuclear reactors only a single research reactor and even then it takes considerable expertise to...

    False"Snow" Triggering Cams.... HELP!

My guess - Insects combined with a Slow shutter speed. Shutter speed really needs to be 8ms (1/125 sec) max and some would say 4ms (1/250 sec) is more realistic for freezing motion. I'm guessing this is a cheap camera and needs a slow shutter to be able to freeze motion at night. Therein lies...

    Wildlife Observation - Latest Recommendations?

Many on here report issues with tracking unless a 2nd "spotter" camera is used to trigger the ptz. Even then there can be issues with tracking, zoom and focus. PTZ threads are the best way to find out the limitations & work arounds as members here with PTZ's have done reviews and reported back...

Probably with animals, it's a niche market for a commercial company as most businesses don't guard against animals, although I agree, a few extra photos to the AI database so it can learn, and it's sorted. It's not exactly hard. What I find harder to understand is why there are such huge pauses...

    Wildlife Observation - Latest Recommendations?

If you want colour at night, at least some white light will be required. For everything else, IR will needed. Note I believe some animals can see IR. IR cameras will see B&W at night. Consideration needs to be given to the focal length as to whether you want over view or close ups. PTZ's might...

I kind of have to agree. Dahua don't really seem to have taken much of a stride forwards. Mobile phones, cameras and other devices seem to have improved especially in low light (and sometimes with the assistance of AI processing), yet not a lot seems to have happened on the CCTV front. We have a...

Glare from LED Dusk to Dawn lightbulb

I'd be very surprised if it was the clear glass and not the lumens to blame. The purpose of the coating is to produce a more diffused light. A clear glass just provides a more intense point of light. Try anti-flicker & see how it looks with and without for the overall quality and with movement...

Glare from LED Dusk to Dawn lightbulb

I used a black window vinyl on my outside light on one side facing the camera. It was either designed for headlights or windows, I can't remember which now. It does really block the light though. I can't recommend it per se as I don't know about the heat resistance. It's not a tint but a proper...

Glare from LED Dusk to Dawn lightbulb

You could put a window film over the camera side of the lamp glass on the outside to reduce the amount of light emitting to that side. Just make sure it's heat resistant and can take the temperatures. I wouldn't use anything reflective as you could cause excessive heat within the lamp if you...

Why would eset place these blue iris files in quarantine?

You'll probably only be able to remove ESET using the Unistaller as most AV programs prevent removal by other methods to prevent direct virus attack on their systems. If the uninstaller isn't working, then go to their website and see if there's a clean installer tool available from their support...

Why would eset place these blue iris files in quarantine?

Malwarebytes chameleon is the tool if Malwarebytes itself is blocked. It's a free download and runs before Windows Starts to intercept bad processes then runs malwarebytes in windows when all bad processes are stopped. It's very effective at removing virus that interefere with AV. Those are...

You're chasing rainbows if the aim is night performance from a cheap cam. The issue is early always the same - marketing can produce a great picture by setting high gain, high noise control and a long shutter and using a model who stands still. However, add even a modicum of movement and you...

How insecure is port forwarding for Blue Iris if you have an incredibly strong password?

They don't attack passwords usually. They use a flaw in the system to get around the password system by either getting the system to tell them the password, or circumventing it entirely and giving themselves root and control over the whoe system at the highest level. Once you port forward you...

    Upgrade goes to error?

I had trouble getting CPAI to run after an upgrade, several times. Not slow playback that I remember, but other issues. Cleaning the camera lens

One of the best cleaners for eye glasses I found was simple soap and water! All those expensive alcohol wipes and a soapy cloth followed by a rinse and wipe with a very soft tissue works wonders (note use a soft tissue as paper can scratch lenses, even tissues if not really soft). It works so...

IVS not catching super obvious activity

The trip wires are in the wrong direction. If you look at the arrows on them, they're looking for side to side movement and vertical movement, when what you have is horzontal back to back movement. What you need is trip wires extending out from the gate to trigger from back to front movement.
