    Having a weird issue, it is not recording during one of my profiles, it worked prior to the update and works on another profile. Plus the clips area seems to not be working, I have to change to all then back to new for it to see it, seems like a refresh issue. Will see if Ken releases an update...

    It is not set to show on desktop. If I double click the camera it use to show a larger window for that camera in the foreground. Now it flashes in the foreground and then goes to the background as seen in the snapshot above.

    It goes behind the main screen. It flashes quick in the foreground then goes to the background. You can see it behind the main window on the right side. I could move it to another location.

    I have double click on camera to open desktop window. When it opens the window, it is hidden behind the BI main window. Not sure if there is a new setting for keep the desktop window on top or not. Kind of annoying when you double click to see a cam better then it is behind the other window. :-(

    I only have 10, 9 are Hik 3MP and 1 is a Dahua 1.3MP bullet. I have another Dahua bullet and 2 mini-domes that are not installed at the moment. I removed them for the Hiks.

    You can set it at the camera or global level. Global would apply to all cameras. I have a day and night profile. You just need to create a profile for each scenario and then change the alert settings as needed.

    Also drop your live view fps to 5 or 10, that helps a lot with CPU usage.

    BI crashing since update to 3.63.03

    Mine crashed just after applying windows updates. I dropped it back to a previous version and waited for the next update. No problems since.

    Cannot connect to cameras (server) via Blue Iris App

    Check your logs in BI. (Blue Iris Status, then Connections) If you are making the connection to BI, it will show, then you can see if it is an authentication error. Can you connect on the local network, but not remote?

    Not sure about the power requirement. If you have the walls open, 3 things CONDUIT, CONDUIT, CONDUIT. You will be happy you did, I put a lot in my house and wish I would have done more.

    If you want covert, thermal cameras would work. But you will need deep pockets. See if your camera has a smart IR option, my Hikvisions do and I think it will adjust to prevent being too bright, which would mean lower IR output.

    You can get a SuperMicro mini-1U. It only supports 2 regular 3.5" drives. I usually buy from Apaq Digital www.apaqdigital.com. They have a wide range of CPU motherboard combos for the mini-1u (not just the ones listed on their site). Optionally, you can look for a supermicro SC5xx series chassis...

    On Thursday I killed the big Cisco 6509 I had for my network at home. Unfortunately, the electric company could not pull the readings on the Thursday usage and they just do an average based on before and after captures (I think). It will take a few days to see how much it helps with power...

    There are a few times during the day when you need the WDR, luckily I have a couple more cams in the area that get a good facial view as they approach. If I adjust the WDR it causes issues at night. I could probably do day and night profiles on the camera, just too lazy for that :nuts:.
