    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

All my other 4K T's are running 3.120.0000000.14.R 2023-02-27 firmware.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Yes, rolled back and everything is fine. Was there something in the release notes that fixed a problem I was having? Absolutely not! haha! I just wanted to see the new maintenance center that it included.

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

Yes I edited my above post to include that I was using H264. With my other 4k-T's, if I turn off my LED light fixtures, the image just gets darker and you can see the camera making adjustments from viewing the image. When doing this with the camera with this new firmware, it wouldn't even try...

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

I updated one of my 4K-T cams with V3.140.0000000.22.R and had nothing but trouble. This certain cam has always been in self adaptive mode because it just works for its location and what I'm using it for. With the new firmware it seems like self adaptive mode is broken. The day time image was...

Need Your Help to Decide between T54IR-ZE and Color4K-T and How to Install It

I too have not noticed any issues with my 4K T's after losing power. Mine are all on the original updated new UI firmware as well.

My Dahua NVR5432 was hacked last week!

Key loggers can be pretty scary. Maybe the OP could put all his passwords on an encrypted thumb drive. When he needs to use a password you could plug in the thumb drive and copy and paste the passwords. No key strokes. Pain in the butt for sure but better than getting hacked.

Cams and internet connectivity at driveway gate

I would just buy pre-terminated fiber optic lines in the lenghts you need. Easy Peasy!

Review- EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 4mp Varifocal Turret

Got three of these ordered from Andy. I have two of the older 5442's inside my house. It will be interesting to see how these compare.

Need Your Help to Decide between T54IR-ZE and Color4K-T and How to Install It

Or you could do what I did. I have five of the 4KT cams deployed around my home. At the time of buying them, I had no outside lighting around my home beyond a simple porch light. I decided instead of using the onboard LED's on the 4Kt's, I would implement a complete out door lighting system...

Cams and internet connectivity at driveway gate

I just ran fiber optic cable to my detatched shop. I needed an AP out there and also wanted to add more cameras to my isolated switch. I ended up running two FO lines out there. You may have to do the same for your set up.

Review- EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 4mp Varifocal Turret

Now that I have my fiber optic run to my detatched shop, I'm thinking three of these IPC-T541R-SE-S3's will do nicely out there. :)

    Internet to my detatched shop

The Home Depot I went to didn't have a core drill available in the size I needed. I ended up just going through the foundation vent. I did what I think is an eloquent job by using a galvanized steel sandwitched gasget for the vent penetration. Then I added a small rock landscape using one of...

    Internet to my detatched shop

I wasn't really looking for the easiest option. I just prefer hard wired when possible. Point to point would have been fine I'm sure but I'm glad I went fiber optic.

    HOME ASSISTANT (Assist) Voice Assistant

Seems like the best set up would be to just buy a small speaker and attach this device to the back where it can't be seen.

    Internet to my detatched shop

The redneck in me wants to just continue this conduit right through the foundation vent. The cleanest way would be to use a roto hammer and drill through the foundation stem wall. Drilling a 2" hole through 6" of concrete does not sound fun. Plus I don't want to hit any rebar.

    Nest Thermostat with Home Assistant?

I replaced my Nest thermostat with an Ecobee. From what I read, it was a pain in the caboose to try and integrate Nest into Home Assistant. So I didn't even try. Ecobee was a breeze to integrate with HA.

    Internet to my detatched shop

Maybe the outdoor stuff should be used then since it will be in conduit. What causes the water getting into the conduit? Condensation? I'm making sure that if I ever have to feed cable through this conduit in the future, it will be easy. It will have three spots where there will be a radius...

    Internet to my detatched shop

Well I've made some head way on this project. I ended up digging the ditch by hand because I have a water line in the same area and didn't want to hit it with my Bobcat backhoe. Home Depot had a sale on 1.5" ABS drain line so I bought enough of that to use as conduit. What's a good fiber...

    iOS push notifications stopped working

That's what I decided to do when I started having the notification issue on my Android phone. Not only is it a great alternative, but it allowed me to uninstall the Blue Iris app off my phone. I love Blue Iris, but their phone app was not my favorite.

    Becoming a Cop?

My bro in law retired from the sherrifs department. Towards the end of his career he told me that all he did was get in his patrol car and hide. He said everyone hated the cops.

    Internet to my detatched shop

Check these switches out. They get really good reviews. This one is $28.00 plus a 10% off coupon. Could use them for cheap media converters. And, it's POE which would be perfect for my four shop cams...

    Internet to my detatched shop

So if you go under ground in conduit with fiber.....do you still have to use a direct bury cable?
  28. K

    Internet to my detatched shop

Yeah I was going to use direct bury in conduit no matter what I went with (ethernet or fiber). I was kind of looking forward to fiber since I have never worked with it before. So fiber has no issues with water?

    Internet to my detatched shop

Yep, I'm starting to think copper would be way less complicated with less points of failure.

    Internet to my detatched shop

I'd still need to run two cables if I went copper. One from my network switch in the house for the AP. And the 2nd from the POE IP cam switch in the house for the shop cameras.
