    Downsides to using DDNS its created a direct route from the outside, instead of the temporary one the software in the NVR establishes with the app server. Also, I think RTSP/DDNS doesn't encrypt camera data as well.

    I think you actually have to add the access controller first, but that menu by default is only available in the admin login, and when you set up other users you have to enable that menu for them.
