    Motion detection activation should be active on each individual camera, separately. So to hopefully push the settings from each camera, after your update and reboot the NVR.

    A firmware update is unlikely to resolve the problems with recording via motion detection. It's more likely down to user errors. Please elaborate on the exact problems.

    I have the similar Annke version of your camera with side loaded hikvision firmware. The Human/Vehicle motion detection only works with the hik's NVR's that can recognise the filtering of human/vehicle. I'm sure you SS NAS only has basic motion detection via onvif. You could try lowering...

    Indeed your current firmware is the latest. Nice 4 series NVR's they are. Fitted loads in the past. Glad you didn't brick the unit with the incorrect firmware. If that was a Hikvision NVR with a wrongly forced firmware, it would of most likely bricked it!

    If you're able to navigate to the cam directly / then system services. It may be worthwhile taking back to default settings and see if this helps. Fingers crossed.

    Do not know where your located in the world and some lacking information but....... Sometimes if the time is not correct on the CCTV NVR and DST hasn't been adjusted correctly, the DMSS application will act as you have described. Hopefully this may help?

    Once you add IP cameras to the XVR you loose the AI features like SMD or IVS. Unfortunately your stuck with just basic motion detection on the CVI and IP cameras. It's a limitation of the XVR capabilities.

    Bit of a long shot! As it's an old unit, I suspect the battery upon the mother board has failed. Think it's a 2032 button battery. Easy and cheap to replace. Could resolve the issue?

    It may help if you navigate within the Tinycam app and change the video settings, try hardware decode or hardware +.

    This problem is the reason that I merged away from Hikvision to Dahua many years ago. Hikvision products seem to not tolerate power failure or incorrect firmware updates.

    I recall from some years ago that a old Hikvision IP camera had two IP addresses. One for the LAN connection and one for the WiFi. I turned off the WiFi connection as it wasn't required and the second IP address disappeared.
