    That's a bit like me saying I have a car and I can change it to a motorbike. It's a XVR. Think it wise to get the OP to acquire the largest hard drive for the XVR that it can accommodate. Or upgrade the XVR to at least a 2 hard drive bay unit.

    The XVR is a DVR & NVR, hence it being labelled an XVR. Half breed to work with analogue CVI, etc cams and also IP cameras.

    Viewing camera video from network to TV

    In the UK if I was asked to complete a task as this, I would use a HDMI to DVB (digital video broadcast) modulator. Then run a good quality 125/165 grade coaxial cable to the TV's. Split the signal to both hopefully compatible DVB TV receivers. Latency will be approx 2-3 seconds!

    The new and previous couple of versions ago of the DMSS app. They removed the NR setting within the application itself. Audio is awful! Regardless if you turn off NR or change audio codec within the cameras.

    You never enclosed/weather proofed the RJ45 male and female connectors, to avoid the water ingress that has caused the issues. No suprise the camera is faulty now. Was this professional installed or a bodge job by someone that hasn't got a clue to do things correctly.

    I wouldn't bother repairing the faulty camera, complete replacement would be best or utilise a separate IR emitter as suggested.

    Have you tried Amcrest view pro2. Works on your local LAN much better than DMSS. I haven't used it for P2P for any remote off LAN use.

    Lorex NVR, so similar to Dahua. Right click mouse button, choose sequence and rearrange camera view to as you wish.

    NVR Beeping

    Locate the format option and give that a try. The beeping is a indicator that their is a possibility the hard drive if faulty. Format the hard drive as suggested or replacement is required. Once you have rectified the hard drive with format or replacement the beeping will be silenced.

    Could be a hard drive error. Try to format the possible faulty hard drive or replace the 4TB.

    I understand that you wanted SMD for 4 channels in total. Your NVR is capable of that. As long as you don't have IVS or any other AI functions running together. Turn of IVS and your original issue will be resolved.

    Oh dear, oh dear! I'm sure if you can post some screenshots of your setup for image/profile settings. And your exact reason for your requirements. Hopefully some assistance can be provided. Please don't return a camera without thoroughly checking any possible mistakes on the initial settings.

    I'm not an expert as others are on this forum, but I understand on some cameras you have to setup day for colour and BW for night via the General profile initially. Have you tried that?

    I doubt that any AI or VCA via the Hikvision camera will be compatible with the Dahua NVR. It's only Onvif motion detection that is compatible.

    Quite often the problems your describing are unfortunately down to user errors, in setting up the camera correctly. I'm guessing that the profile settings within the image settings menu is not setup to make the camera work as you wish.

    Looks like the problem is caused by not using a fully compatible web browser. Internet Explorer is ideal or Edge in IE mode.

    Without looking at the specs of the camera. Does it need an SD card to be installed for the recordings/notifications to be viewed?

    Oh I've noticed. Most disappointing! I've been using a "anti tin can audio" app to resolve the problem. Perhaps we will have the bugs sorted with many parts of the app, in the next update or next........! Something to look forward in the next few years. They put the IVS/Motion markers on...

    Agree with the NR setting being removed from DMSS. Happened a couple of updates ago. Audio awful now! Yet again. Dahua sort it out!

    You say day/night, = electronic colour? Hence no IR.
