    4mm lens, and up/down it's covering about 50-60 feet, left/right is covering about 75-85 feet... it's about 25 feet off of the ground pointing down at about a 45 degree angle..approx....

    Cat5/6 Cable - Currently very cheap / on offer at Newegg

    takes me about 2 minutes to do solid Ethernet cable into an RJ45, about 2 1/2 minutes to do it with stranded wire. so, a bit more difficult, but I've done a LOT of them, lol..so, not too big of a deal for me.

    Just delivered...little bit more "rubbery" than the other stuff I had, but for as cheap as I got it, it'll work just fine.. 7 strands in each wire, and very flexible. Stripped the outer casing and lined them up to put in an RJ45 connector and they slid right in fine. Good cheap wire for the money.

    sigh...I've had the exact same issue with 3 of the cams I've gotten from china...they slap the same ol' hardware in a case with some other logo on it, and sometimes put a different firmware on them, but I've managed to get them all up and running by trial/error...I'm not much of a camera guru...

I completely over estimated wireless capabilities... have a REALLY nice router, buffalo running DDWRT, and decent wireless on my computer...even though it all says 54 or 100mb/s, I'm not getting even a small fraction...
