    TVI is a good solid System, using cubes on wifi is ok as long as the router is half decent it won't be an issue.

    I would not pay axis the money the demand although a well built camera it's not worth the money. Axis vs Dahua or Hikvision it's a no brainer all are good quality but HIK'S TVI is so cheap and such a well built units.

    with tweeks 5.20 or 5.25 are fine but no real reasons to go higher, just don't use port forwarding for remote access. If it's WR you could update it fully if CH do the mtd hack then update it fully. it's what ever you are happy with.

    If it's just a rebooting issue, there are a few reasons. poorly hacked firmware, bad rj45 terminations, over / under power. more so the firmware, as the firmware errors the ipc reboots to try and recover.

    yes your poe has done the dirty, my brothers did the same and killed all the IR at the same time, so it was out with the soldering iron to replace all the blown leds. still don't know why HIK don't sell spare IR boards err.

    yes you can upgrade but at the moment only to Chinese to 5.45 but you will have issues if the mtd hack is still in place. If you were to have a an IPC which came with 5.10 5.16 5.20 or 5.23 you can upgrade with the mtd still in place all the way to 5.45 and it still remains English.

    It's still missed by a lot of people IPC that Came with 5.25 or 5.28 can't be upgraded, but as this was a 5.30 it would take the update but would be returned to Chinese. Well done on a good recovery.

    yes it is possible on this model at this firmware vision the MTD hack is done on mtd2 and mtd5 you only need to change the region flag, you won't have to balance the adjustment.
