    Well it happened! I moved one. I installed some lights on my garage and it caused some glare. Moved it back and got a better view of my small shed (Installed after camera) and I don't see much of a downgrade in coverage The lights, looks good IMO

    As said by @Flintstone61, test the run and the patch cable, not the device If you plug the device in and it works, stop worrying about it. Next you'll be setting up a laser level to see how off your foundation is (Tip, don't do this!!!)

    Its certainly not as good as lower, but its an easy mounting spot that means it won't get wet, and won't need to drill through the brick, and will look better from the outside IMHO, that trumps the better spot lower down

    SMR is Shingled Magnetic Recording, where the magnetic tracks overlap. It means you can get more data on the disk platter so they are cheaper to produce, however it comes at the cost of performance
