Hi,

I bought a camera system along with NVR from empire tech and got 6 of his cameras and I bought a reolink doorbell camera. I am having a tough time linking the reolink DB to the NVR.

This is what I have done so far.

1. Bought a Poe switch to login to reolink app and power doorbell. I went into advance settings on the reolink app and enabled rstp and ONVIF. It shows me the the default port of 8000 for onvif and 555 for rstp.

2. I then unplugged the doorbell from Poe switch and hooked up the Poe doorbell to the NVR. It gets a message saying wrong password something along those lines on the NVR . It causes other issues where I had to reboot the NVR back to factory settings. Also I only used the Poe switch for initial DB power up and to change settings and it’s not being used.

Can anyone help?

Thanks. I factory reset it. I didn’t realize I had to user the Reolink password on the empiretexh NVR. So it works now. Only issue now is I want to be able to use the Reolink mobile app while using empiretech NVR. As soon as it’s connected to NVR the Reolink app disconnects. So overall it seems it’s one or the other. Maybe there is a solution for this.

I use DMSS but wanted to also use the reolink mobile app. The reolink app has more flexibility to control door bell camera features. The dmss is more to view recordings for the DB. I was able to use both dmss and reolink systems and I had to put the DB ip Address in and it worked along with port numbers. I guess the solution was the DB cannot be hooked up directly to the NVR. I need to use a Poe injector or Poe switch that hooks up to the router.

Not an expert but if you have plugged it into your NVR then the NVR controls the IP address that it allocates so the doorbell then will lose direct internet connectivity ?
