New Cisco switch not powering Hik cams

Hey all - thank you SO much in advance for your help!

I've been running two Cisco SRW208 switches to power a total of six Hik 2132s/3332s, and they've been working great for many years. I discovered the SRW208s were causing unwanted radio frequency interference and have replaced them with two used Cisco 3650CX switches, which have internal power supplies and produce zero radio interference. When I replaced the first SRW208 with a 3650, I unplugged everything from the 208 and put it all in the 3650, and all the cams came back up in a few minutes. I tried the same thing with the second switch and none of the cams that connect directly to that switch are working - all those LEDs are off on the new switch. If I plug everything back into the old switch again, they all work. Interestingly, on the troublesome switch, the cable from the OTHER switch is being recognized and is working, as is the cable to the NVR as well as the one to the internet connection; as a result, the NVR is able to see the cams from the working switch even though their signal has to run through the troublesome switch on its way to the NVR.

I was able to download the necessary USB drivers from Cisco as well as Putty and was able to do a factory reset on the troublesome switch, but it still does the same thing; changing the cables around to different ports doesn't help either. I did enable LLDP, but most of the other AI suggestions involve code that just doesn't work.

Might anybody be able to help me get this switch to recognize and power these cams? They all work fine on the old switch. Hopefully a few lines of the right code could get me up and running again! AI has plenty of theories but is almost no help with actual fixes :)

Thank you so very much for your help!!

Are the two 3650CX switches the exact same model number? Some 3650CX switches have POE ports, and some don't.

If the switch has POE it will have a P in the model number.

Assuming that it does have a P then does this not sound like a faulty switch? Try plugging a laptop into it and see if the lights on the "faulty" switch actually light up?

two used Cisco 3650CX switches

Any feedback from the seller they were working when pulled from service?

I could not find any info on a 3650CX, but there is a 3560CX series.

The following lists which specific models have POE and power rating.

Chapter 3 beginning on page 51 of this online PDF manual for the Cisco 3560CX contains a troubleshooting guide for the POE LED's.

Hey all - thank you SO much for all the replies and my apologies - the model number is actually WS-C3560CX-8TS-S V04! Sorry about that. So it should have PoE?

I believe they were listed as working, but it's been several months - another thing that I just HAD to have, but then sat around for quite a while after it came in :)

I'm rushing off to work but will look at each of the resources you all kindly shared as soon as I'm back this evening. MANY thanks!

Hey all - got a chance to run through the Troubleshooting steps in the manual. I put in "show interfaces" and got this - by the way, the three Hik cams are on ports 5, 6, and 8, all of which are showing as "down." I can't seem to see any PoE information on this - is there a different command that can tell me better info?

Many thanks, all!

Unless I'm reading it all wrong, according to this site it doesn't. Is the model for the working one the exact same?

Well...it appears that, in fact, I am a fool. Which I already know, but you all may not have - until now. Thank you for saving me any more time wasted trying to miraculously get PoE from a non-PoE switch. When I asked Google whether this switch model has PoE, I think it just came back with a similar model number that does and happily told me yes, and that's what I get for not reading carefully.

Ordering another one now - thank you all very much for your time and help!!!
