Hikvision dual sensor ANPR

I don’t have a need for it as an LPR cam but I have a perfect spot for it!

Dahua has some but with poor sensor and lens choices for what I need. This sounds perfect. That constant Fstop on the VF lens is interesting…

I have one on order. I like that it has a true day/night profile unlike my ITC437. Curious how the 1.2" sensor with 8mp will improve plate reads.

When I get the camera and get it installed a post a mini-review on how it compares to the ITC437 and ITC237 (I've used both). I like the idea of having a separate 4mm overview cam that can have completely different settings.

I've been using one for about a year. For me, I can't adjust the focus on the 4MP camera with the PTZ controls, which makes the 2nd sensor useless. The ANPR works ok and can capture the plates on fast moving cars at night at a distance.

It looks like channel #2 the 4mm lens is fixed, its not supposed to be adjusted?

The channel 2 is to get colorfull video, because ANPR camera during the night shows only license plate and lights.. its too dark to get other details.

Hence second channel to pick up vehicle information and classificaation during the night

Yeah I get it.

Channel 2 is still a fixed lens.

You said you can’t adjust the focus of Channel 2, I’m saying it’s not made to adjust the focus on channel 2

Poor sensor and lenses choices????

1/1.2" + 1/1.8"... both varifocal.. channel 2 is on module which can be tilted to channel 1...

there is also variant with 1/1.2+ dual 180 1/1.8"...

I get these are made for larger areas and perhaps traffic?

The Hik has the long range 1/1.2" 10-50mm and the overview 4MP 4mm with 1/1.8"
Perfect!

Poor for me, for others maybe fine

Problem with 1st one is lenses both long range
20-80
8-32
If 2nd lens was 3.6 or 4,mm would be perfect

This one is close but I dont need 180 close just a single 4MP lens. Very tight close in area
Otherwise yes its ideal.
I’ll add that #1 is warm light illumination only, no IR light. Some locations this would be fine, others not so much.

Edit: channel #1 is warm light only

Might be able to make this one work. I have a 3.6mm 4K there now. Covers gap between houses good but not good for ID on street.(50-55ft)

Trying to reduce my camera count.

Maybe the 8mm would still be ok ... hmmm I may be able to move it back a little
