The Typical picture of a Perp on Nextdoor-type Apps with Consumer Grade Cameras like Ring, Nest, Arlo, Canary, Wyze, etc.

I had mentioned in this thread that Roku was now selling cameras, and now we have our first image!

This shows that with enough light and the subject not moving, you can get clear enough images.

This was enough for the police to capture and the OP said they are awaiting a court date.
Unless it's a flying saucer. Then it's always blurry.

A favorite of @JPmedia - the Ring hybrid color/BW image of some people that broke into cars - can anyone ID them?

I don't understand the thought behind a hybrid image sensor(s). The color part of the image will not be useful for detail evidence since the color is way off. And who cares what colors are on the structures in the distance, they are not relevant to what's happening in the foreground.

Another STUPID marketing gimmick - 128mp 1/10-inch sensor with hybrid color night vision© technology - sounds impressive and bigger numbers are better, right?

This person was seen going thru cars parked at the fast food parking lot and then left in their vehicle.

Can anyone ID the person or make out the plate of the get-away vehicle LOL.

Imagine what our cameras would do with that much light.

Nope, not even in daylight will a wide angle camera digitally zoomed that much be able to ID the three people running to the red truck and stealing hundreds of dollars of power tools, wallet and airpods.

Love one of the comments: "I know for a fact that our county has plenty of money to enhance those photos, not to mention the traffic cameras where if you steal in one area, you’ll have to roll through another area that has the cameras. Their insurance probably isn’t gonna cover it just like they did not cover mine."

People watch too much fantasy TV police shows. No amount of money will clean up that mess
