Since Western Didital SHUT Down Support, Cloud Service, for their Ready View, WDBULT0020HWT-HESN 2MP Cameras. I can No longer view my Cameras Remotely on my Android Cell Phone.

I downloaded Blue Iris (15-Day Trial) to see if I can use it to integrate with my perfectly good NVR. Yeah, I was able to view all of my cameras. BOO the trail version doesn't allow to view Blue Iris over a cell phone.

Upon further investigation, which I found in this forum, I can't view my captured videos on my NVR Hard Drive :wow: Thanks to wittaj.

I was hoping I could use Blue Iris App on my phone to replace my WD ReadyView App, Bummer.

I read many folks use Blue Iris with their NVR but it wasn't clear that they use their NVR as a POE Switch and for redundancy.

Maybe the Wiki should place a Note:

An NVR and BI/PC are each their own type of VMS system, so you cannot use BI to pull up saved video or alerts in the NVR and vice versa.

As long as the cameras are ONVIF compatible you can usually pull them into BI by typing in the IP address of the camera, username, password and hit find/inspect and let BI do its thing.

I don't know about that particular NVR, but here is how we have taken an NVR and essentially used it as a POE switch to bring the cameras into BI.

In BI, you select add camera and put the IP address of the NVR into the IP address location. Put in username and password and hit find/inspect and let BI do its thing.

Then about halfway down is a pull down for Camera number and pick camera 1 and then hit ok. The camera should show up. Then add camera and the select copy and copy this camera and then change the number 1 to a 2 and then repeat for your cameras by selecting add camera and add IP address of NVR and selecting next camera number.

OR depending on your NVR, in BI it may populate all the cameras in the main and substream pulldown boxes and you just select a camera number and then add another camera and select the next pulldown.

OR if all your cameras are connected to a POE switch, as long as you have an extra open port, you can connect the switch to the BI computer and bring in each camera separately via esch IP address.

You can view the trial over a cellphone.

Go to a browser (preferably Chrome) and type in the IP address of the BI computer with :80 or :81 (whichever port yours is using) and the BI login screen will come up.

Thanks, that woks BUTtttt. I have no idea what my username and Password are. Honestly, I don't remember setting any Passwords or usernames up when I downloaded Blue Iris 2 night ago

Had the same problem the other night when I went through the Wizard for remote access. Asked for Username and password on my PC, No idea!

While that is web ui that isn't the Bi App, that is an extra 10usd or at least it was when I bought it..

Keep in mind many find the BI app to be a waste of $10 LOL.

If you don't have two-way cams or get push notifications a different way, most find the web UI (UI3) to be a better experience.

UI3 does not support two-way talk or push notifications, but the app does.

So many here use the pushover app ($5) instead.

Ok folks, I will be getting a Used Desktop tonight from my son’s workplace. I am hoping it is the same/like the one I got a year ago. Retiring PC’s because they cannot update to Window’s 11

DELL DESTOP 331Q0OI – Windows 10 Pro

Precision Tower 3420 i7-77003.6GHz, 3600 Mhz, 4 Cores

32.0 GB

NVIDA Quadro K1200

TOSHIBA DT101ACA100 Hard Drive 1G?

Question when I get/turn-on my new desktop, do I skip creating a Microsoft account and user name/password?

I’m going to try and disable Window’s Updates also.

What about Microsoft Edge Updates? Or should I use a different browsers all together like Google?

Thanks, Mike

It is best to use the Windows Media Creation Tool to load up a non-manufacturer bloated Windows version.

Most here skip the creating microsoft account and keep it local.

Most of us use IE for the cameras, but I have disabled Edge for good measure LOL.

Does the computer have a clean OS installed, ie has it been wiped and had the OS reloaded or is it just as it was removed from the previous work location?

If clean install then do not connect it to the internet until you have created a local user account, I would not worry about disabling the updates very soon there will not be any!

I would just use MS Edge especially if it is going to be used for BI only!

They last one he gave me had been wiped and had the OS reloaded. Will have to wait a day or two to get a keyboard and mouse. Pain in the but to disconnect my current desktop keyboard that's located in a cubby hole in my desk.

Thanks for the response

Believe me, you will want to reload Windows using the Media Creation Tool, even if the computer was wiped and the OS reloaded.

Yes, if it was reloaded from the recovery partition it will have all of the OEM crapware installed!

Oh well, still got a Dell Desktop but not the same as unit described above. Additionally, it has not been wiped clean. Would not load to windows only BIOS. Reset Time/Saved Booted to Windows-11 with questions, Boot from volume 3 0r volume 6, chose 3. Need Admin Password.

Desktop is now in the process of RESETING PC after holding shift Key while repower Desktop.

Desktop is a precision 3430 w Intel Xeon E Processor, Build Date 20190706

Will look into Media Creation Tool
