The autism pandemic

Pretty scary stats:
Autism much more prevalent in boys.
Nationwide 1 in 20 boys have it.
In california, 1 in 12.5 boys have it.

If these stats are correct, it is indeed a major epidemic.

This is something I have noticed, and pointed out to some of my neighbors when discussing random things. I am in a Young and Widowed group on Facebook and I always make comments about how the majority of women in the group were pregnant when their husband passed and also already had 6 or 8 kids, but something else I have noticed is a lot of them talk about their kids being autistic or having some sort of sensory issue. I also see this a lot in the local Moms group that I was allowed to infiltrate.

I thought maybe it was nothing new, but with being able to talk about it online it's just more in your face than back in the 1900s...

This is something our governments should throw some resources into to find out why.
