Hey guys, so I bought a couple of these off of amazon to play around with and see how they work. I have read that some of you guys had had luck flashing them to dahua/empiretech firmware. A lot of Amcrest to dahua/empiretech luck, but I was having trouble finding correct info for these cameras. That's why I thought I'd post this in case any of you guys have had luck with this specific camera.

It is an Amcrest IP8M-T2669EW-AI
Software Version V2.800.00AC001.0.R, Build Date: 2021-08-10
WEB Version V3.2.1.913961

I think I may have tried to downgrade the firmware to: Amcrest_IPC-HX3XXX-Dalton_Eng_NP_Stream3_AMCREST_V2.800.00AC001.0.R.220715

I think I tried updating the firmware to: EmpireTech IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.840.15OG00D.0.R.220818 (1)

I never bricked them, but I couldn't get them to take the file. And they seem to be working ok with the V2.800.00AC001.0.R, Build Date: 2021-08-10 software

Thanks in advance

At some point they started to hardcod them to prevent people from buying cheaper cameras and uploading the manufacturer firmware, so that is probably why you haven't got them to take the firmware.

Yes, and I read that. However, it sounded like Cameras with newer firmware than the firmware date installed in mine. There are a lot of the guys in this forum that had luck or no luck, but I couldn't find great info on this particular camera model. That's why I thought id toss this out there.

Did you end up solvinfg this? or still rocking the Amcrest Firmware? I have the same firmware and web version but can not find sufficient evidence to flash them.
