Somebody will be on their knees after while with a rag dipped in gasoline cleaning it off the rocker panels....
Can't believe they didn't have a sign posted.

For sure it's less volatile, it's less refined so a bit oilier to get under the tar like a surfactant; and it has a much higher flash point so it's safer BUT..... not as many people have a can of kerosene in their garage as do have gasoline.
Or they did and decided it didn't apply to them and drove around it. I have seen that countless times LOL.

Getting comfortable
This stuff doesn't surprise me. There's always at least one person who feels they are the exception and the rules don't apply to them.
I used to work as a detective in New Orleans and I can remember working a scene in the French Quarter. If you've never been there, the streets in the French Quarter are all narrow one way streets. We had multiple police cars about 1/4 of the way into the block with all the bright blue lights going. There was a lady in a car driving on the previous block. She got to the intersection and had to make a choice, go straight or turn. She chose straight, even though it was clear there were multiple police cars blocking the road. She waved me over and asked how long we would be because she was trying to pass through. I told her we would be there as long as it took to do our job. A few minutes later I got a call from my rank asking me about our progress. Apparently the woman called the station to complain we were blocking the street.
