Did anyone managed to upgrade IP5M-T1179EW from Amcrest to Dauha.

I am trying to upgrade an Amcrest IP5M-T1179EW from Amcrest. FIrmware to Dauha firmware, however I am getting an error both on UI and both on ConfigTool


Amcrest firmware: Amcrest_IPC-HX25(8)XX-Molec_Eng_NP_V2.820.00AC002.0.R.230408(1)

Dahua firmware: DH_IPC-HX25(8)XX-Molec_MultiLang_PN_V2.820.0000000.49.R.220815.bin

Keep in mind at some point they have been either hard-coding to prevent this as they didn't like people buying cheaper cams and upgrading firmware to get more options.

Or they made the decision to not make like models so that their isn't an equivalent model to upgrade firmware to.

A couple years ago I used DH_IPC-HX25(8)XX-Molec_MultiLang_NP_V2.800.0000000.19.R.200628.bin on mine. Worked great, added IVS functions.

But as mentioned by wittaj, Amcrest changed the camera upload function to prevent this hack. So if you have recently manufactured Amcrest IP5M-T1179EW then I don't think you can reflash with the Dahua firmware.
