So they are not really dangerous. If you breath with your mouth open, they might cause you to hack a bit. They could ruin your paint job and streak your windshield. But I really hate lovebugs!

Interesting enough, there was a news story about this a week ago and the headline was something along the lines of "Scientist baffled by missing Love Bugs". Here's another story about it. I can't say that I miss them.
