Dear all
i have hcvr7416l
the serial number in going i see 0000000000
i try to reset to default and update firmware but still the SN.00000000
any one can help i have the lapel on back of hcvr have serial number and i have the box for it have the same serial
 
You need set your onw SN by stopping boot in console usinng RS232 or TTL2USB adapter.

&you see what variable you need to setup via
setenv DEVID 12345...
saveenv
 
Use hardware COM or usb?
Maybe your setting for you USB adapter is wrong: speed 115200 must be, maybe it failed, maybe ....
Check all connection, good Gd, try change 3-5V dip, try no use power from board, try...
