First Dahua camera. Very nice. 2.8mm fisheye was a bit unexpected though.

Well .. I have had a bit of rain now and a few more days of night vision to play with. A couple of observations. 1. Night time rain performance is quite frankly astounding. My other cameras have this white haze of rain but this camera almost seems to have some kind of "rain filter" that makes...

Thanks for the stuff but I don't see what is wrong with my approach. Can you be specific ?

Well well. After playing around a bit today with the camera I have found that I might indeed use the AI functions. They seem pretty robust and might be somewhat false alarm proof. Worth a shot in any event. Something else I found was a fisheye correction setting. Didn't actually do much other...

Yup..... agreed. I like this camera already. Cheap really for what you get. Starts adding up for a few though so would rather phase the old ones out as they go bung. No need to burn money right ? :) edit: I only bought it because the old one fell off and I saw a you tuber reviewing one. You...

Ahh... AI you say, ok nice. Will have to have a play with that for sure. This was in my cart on ebay ? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dahua-Original-4K-8CH-DHI-NVR4108-8P-4KS2-Network-Video-Recorder-CCTV-System/293692140931 I just hope it will work with my grandstream cameras. GXV3672HD and...

IVS ? will have to do my research. I also have a kangaroo or 2 visit at night to nibble the grass on the paddock (few acres here). That would annoy me going off all the time. In general though I just don't have the need to run a PC all the time with software when an NVR will do the job I want...

I guess it's good for some installations but motion sensing is a nightmare here. Too much wildlife and insects moving about.

2.8mm is much better. I don't want to cover every angle with multiple cameras and if they are going to break in they will have to walk towards the camera right ? It's really just to see who is around, anyone coming to murder us or steal from us will probably do a good job of covering up anyway...

Hi all, New to the forum but thought I would post about my new Dahua IPC-HDW5442TM-AS. After having had some reasonable quality grandstream cameras about the house for about 8 or so years now and having had great results, I thought I would buy a new camera to see what had changed. My my aren't...
