Is this the case here? I assume the dav files are not streamed but simply copied when they are complete. No? I'm thinking there may be a problem if the destination storage needs time to wake/spin up and the camera doesn't handle that well.

Download a suspect dav from the camera to a pc via the web interface. Play using VLC. No problem with that?

Which SD card are you using? I'm using a Samsung Pro Endurance and it works flawlessly. Same firmware.
