Sure. Wasteful and ineffecient but it is more fool proof to just recording at max settings with little to no compression. Guess it depends on what you're trying to do, priorities and being realistic with capabilities and understanding capabilities.

Those issues are unfortunate and I uncertainly don't have them but I don't use Blue Iris.
