My cameras are IPC-HDW2831T-ZAS-S2 (something like that) so I used to get ghost image at night, I installed LED light at drive way, now I get full color good quality image at night. I think I need to do that all around the house.

Hi Andy, You night time testing is done where there is a light around such as street light, signage light, building lights etc. Are you able to test it in the area where moon light is the only light source? My cameras monitoring around the house doesn't perform well at night (just moon light)...

That's a good one. but it is not entering the area by crossing the blue lines. It is is motion within the area. I didn't know that would be counted.

I know what you mean. Watching the recording with Dahua Web shows you rules as well. (SmartPSS does too). It triggers the blue area.

Hi All, Not sure what part is wrong about my config. I set the IVS and it works, however it works little bit out of the desired area (as well as within the desired area). Below picture shows the Intrusion area and other IVS settings. I am only care anything happens within the blue lines...

Would love to and you guys are right with all you said. However, moving them down is a bit of job. (quiet a bit of job). I cannot do anything for those ones but I might get some new ones later on to add into existing system. I have six cameras on 16 port NVR so plenty of free POE ports available.

But wouldn't this expose my cams to vandals? At that height bad people can come and brake them with baseball bats.

It happens when you use host name instead of IP address ( at least it was in my case). I went into the Windows HOST file and added a record there as "NVR" and its IP address so I wouldn't get the certificate error on internet explorer (or on other browsers). However, when I start using the WEB...
